  1. Thank you very much Uncle Pieter for the correction. Unfortunately did not get the all white AN-12 and never expected it to arrive too. (or never knew of its existence at all ) Upon further checking, I believe the information I posted is correct. 5J 538 STA to SIN from CRK is at 1540 and 5J 506 STA is at 1655 to SIN. Believe the former was delayed and the latter came in early, hence we were able to catch both of them in the space of 20 minutes.
  2. WOW flee, you seem to have almost everything I have. Just a few more to share.. Changi is not just home for many modern carriers. Seen here is an Indonesian cargo operator, Airmark's AN32A rego EW-262TK coming in to land on 02L. In SIN, you get all kinds of rare traffic movement. Seen here a Boeing 737-700BBJ rego VP-BJJ coming in from HLP. Her previous regos were HB-JGV and VP-BJB. It was also my first time seeing a Jetstar Airways A332 bird rego VH-EBE. Must have been operating in a flight from MEL. One visitor that none of us can ever catch in KUL. TK's A343 rego TC-JDJ arriving in some dull weather. Hopefully our PM Najib's visit to Turkey would also discuss to bring them in instead of the code-share agreements with MH. It has been some time since I last saw her in KUL probably due to her late arrival time. LH's 744 D-ABVS. It was also a bonus to spot two 5J birds arriving in the space of 20 minutes. One must be from CRK and the other from MNL. RP-C3189 RP-C3263
  3. Thank you Master Chaity. We never forgot you or even your presence, as we made it a point to talk about you even while in SIN. Here's one dedicated to you (although you had to work.. ) NH sent in a special, JA620A. A 767-300ER fitted with winglets. One thing that opposes the other double bogey landing gear designs, the forward two wheels touch down first
  4. Continuing from where I left off. I was seriously hoping to see a new Biman bird in SIN since she arrives and departs out of KUL early in the morning but I guess it just wasn't my day. Seen here an A310 rego S2-ADF still in old colours. Not having a BG bird in new colours is definitely not a problem because we have BiGger birds here. 9V-SKC arriving as SQ212 from SYD. The next four series of aircrafts were all caught in the space of 2 hours showing a mixed fleet of MU operating into SIN. First was a B77F rego B-2078. Definitely my first seeing a B77F Next up was B-2317, operated by an AB6. Followed by B-5095, a Boeing 737-700. And lastly an A319, B-2331. Good point to note is that they all come from different places! It was first reported 8M's flight to SIN was canceled but it couldn't get any better when they decided to send in A321, F-GYAO, in the last available light until the next 2 hours or so. Probably by now the guys in SIN would have been bored seeing some similar traffic, but the best thing about spotting in SIN is that you get some rare private jets too! Just to share 2 of them first for the time being.. A G-IV rego N450GA arriving from DEL. A pretty common visitor in SIN and sometimes in SZB. N383LS, G-V, owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corp arriving from HKG. More to come in the next installment, looking forward to pics from the rest too. Have a great day ahead!
  5. It's currently 02 season and you'll only get aircrafts departing at Changi Beach. Instead the place to be is at Changi Business Park. Uncle Pieter, it's ok, we will meet another time and hopefully you had a great holiday down here with your wife. We shall not keep our options closed yeah! Just one more shot to share before I leave for work. Vietnam Airlines' Airbus A330-200 in Skyteam colours rego VN-A371. It was raining quite heavily at this time and sorry for the quality. But I just have one thing to say, that's probably the worst paint job I've ever seen! Cheers!
  6. Nice pics Keith! Maybe you will soon learn how to correct the green tinted glasses. Well flee, it was just another planned spotting session in SIN though. Why?? Anyways continuing some few more shots from the T1 viewing mall (which was said to be "UNDER RENOVATION" to us by the airport information counter staff). VT-SCL, Air India's A319 which have already stopped flying to KUL for some time now. Lion Air's 737-900ER. Many were already discussing in the GA subforum about MH acquiring them. Seen here was PK-LFY. I first saw this small little F27 PK-KRL operated by Asialink last year during our anniversary celebrations. Saw it again yesterday, and here's a pic to just compare her size with the other competitors. Air Mauritius' A340-300 rego 3B-NBJ still seen in its old colours. It shouldn't be long before it's painted and from my past observation, all paint job for MK was done by MH's E&M support in KLIA. HS-TJF, opb TG seen here making a 90 degree turn for gate C13. Spotting in SIN is never complete without any shots of SQ. Seen here is 9V-SQD, Boeing 772ER. More to come soon! Till then, cheers!
  7. A short hop down to SIN yesterday with a bunch of MW members. Well to start off, there are just too many pics to be edited and too many specials. First off, a tribute to the nose-master, T Azahan & KS Ong B-HNG, Boeing 773 being towed to a new gate. A6-EBN, Boeing 77W being pushed back. PK-LFY, Boeing 739ER being pushed back too. The winglet is a bonus 9V-VLE, Airbus A322 taxiing to her gate. B-HLV, Airbus A333. Many thanks to Raymond for sacrificing his precious Saturday. More to come, stay tuned
  8. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/2/18/nation/20110218205036 I hope none of you were stuck during this period. Some were even delayed for over 3 hours ++!
  9. Wrong. Airframes are all owned by AK. Leased airframes and engines have been returned to their appropriate lessors.
  10. TQVM Capt. Just to add, also spotted this bird today M-GFOR, G IV. Landed on RWY 33 ( ) and taxied into Skypark. Sorry for the quality as this is the best I could get.
  11. Some info about VH-PNW courtesy of Capt. Radzi. Power Driven Aeroplane with tricycle - retractable landing gear 2 Piston engines Manufacturer: VULCANAIR S.P.A. Model: AP68TP-600 Serial number: 9010 Aircraft first registered in Australia: 31 January 2011
  12. Was at SZB today for a short 4 hours. Some pics to share as almost ALL of them are uncommon for me Day started off with 9M-TGG taxiing to holding point RWY15. And you get a shot like this when you don't know where to focus your camera. 9M-TGG was on its takeoff roll while 9M-FYC was taxiing to the holding point. 9M-TAK then landed not long later. Common to many, but rare to me! M44-02, CN235 opb by the RMAF. Weststar's AW139, 9M-WAB. Again, RMAF's Beech B200T, M41-03. TH's workhorse, 9M-TGN. Any idea who owns this C172P with the rego 9M-NCU? It was this me & Hon Kit was waiting for. 9M-FYJ - FY's latest addition to the fleet minus the SP Setia stickers! No idea where this Falcon was headed to. M37-01 Finished your mission in CAI? Don't know if this bird was the one sent to CAI, but it's always nice to see a C130 land. M30-15 VH-PNW. I don't have any idea regarding this plane, be it the owner or even the type. It took off earlier and requested an immediate clearance to land due to "door unlatched". Appreciate any info about this bird. I left as soon as it started raining. More good days with good light and sky to come. Cheers!
  13. From what I saw the other day, the interior was being put back together. When I asked a few people around, they said it's going to some training schools who have purchased the airframe. Surprised that it actually ended up in The Curve. Here's another pic took from FB and shared in the SZB spotting thread.
  14. Here's a pic taken from someone's FB page.
  15. It's not anything to be jakun la bro. Just that we don't see it in abundance nowadays mainly due to many disadvantages operating it commercially. They're basically called pushers, pushing the a/c through the air instead of the forward mounted props which tractor the a/c (pull) through air.
  16. I didn't see the rego the other day, but it is one of the PK birds (not AAF for sure). It was torn into 3 pieces; fuselage into two and the vertical fin in one piece. Heard that they were sold to two aviation training schools.
  17. or hold back the airport tax that should have been rightfully paid and keep them in some investment scheme and make some 1-2% interest out of it first, before begging the airport operator to reduce and get a 25% discount.
  18. Don't be shocked Uncle. The crew wore long pants instead of the micro-mini skirts and were neatly clad in a black tudung!
  19. Don't be shocked when you hear later today that an A340 will be heading to Cairo too, on top of the A320! And bro, you've got to learn to take things with a little pinch of salt. When they don't send any aircraft, you protest why they don't send and make calculations based on the number of seats available on the A320 and how many Malaysian students can be brought out. When they send an A320, you compare them to an A330. So much so for being a Malaysian, the word gratitude is always missing in our dictionary. *edit: and yes, thank you for also not questioning why the Malaysian govt. could only send 2x C130 (with a max capacity of 150pax) to CAI.
  20. TF's tweet on why the A320 was used as opposed to the 330.
  21. Once, someone told me this line. "When you have good weather, don't stay at home". Since everyone was on CNY mood, I had to go out alone again. Decided to "camp" in AT the whole day. Just some highlights only.. 9M-FFA 9M-MXB. MXB caught today, and MXC caught yesterday, so I assume MXA and some other ML* series a/c is based in BKI? B-5355. Long time no see! AP-BGP 9M-MRB. Nose wheel steering pin, chocks and headset removed. Ready to go! 9M-MQI. Jellyfish also looks good in this angle! V8-RBS. Want to play the "who-is-bigger" game?? Happy Chinese New Year folks!! Be safe no matter where you are!
  22. Chaity's always handsome what, even more yesterday! As promised, he brought good light and good sky for everyone to smile from end to end. 3 more before I hit the bed again 9M-MKG VT-JBQ VP-BUE
  23. Some shots captured today... 9M-MXC 9M-MLI 9M-FFA A9C-KD Also sincere gratitude to Wilson from Penang nand Chaity for all the help.
