Update at 1000GMT 11NOV11 Reservations for KUL DXB, KUL DXB DMM, KUL KHI DXB, KUL JNB, KUL EZE CPT routes are re-opened

It's fine for anyone to think MAS is not running as a real business, but it's not fine when one simply throws out their idea based on their "strategy" they did on Airline Management games. Plus, the current state of MAS is different than MAS 12 months ago, and different from 36 months ago. Air Asia is in the picture, which played some role to a certain degree behind this sudden drastic cuts. What is the definition of "doing great"? Doing great because the plane is full? IS it full one-time or every flights? Has that person seen the figures?

MAS is a real business, not those airline management game you play on your computer or mobile devices. You don't simply cut a route and redeploy them to another route right away without extensive research.

KUL KHI DXB is terminated from 01DEC11. KHI is gone as well.

BKI KIX is also gradually closing. KUL BDO is already cancelled.

BKI HND, BKI ICN is to be axed from 01FEB12. Currently waiting for MH to Zero out every class of service. Currently some dates after 01FEB12 showing J/Y/B/H available but the rest is closed.

KUL JNB, KUL CPT EZE, KUL DXB DMM, KUL DXB (except KUL KHI DXB) is confirmed cancelled, as MH updated its reservation system in the past 20-30 minutes.

Because 01AUG12 is Wednesday. A380 not operating on that day. "Better seats" (Larger legroom) requires additional fee. Just general remark that needs no special attention.

Originally I put down Premium Economy when I was doing the article, but had to change it cause others suggested it's just upper deck economy in the rear. QANTAS' A380 has Premium Economy on upper deck rear section, but it's 2-3-2. And I seriously doubted MH will have 90+ seats of Premium Economy.

CI has switched to 744 for TPE KUL service from 30OCT11, according to internal system as of Tuesday 23AUG11

FYI, CI part for TPE KUL is still showing 333 in internal system, but amadeus timetable search is displaying 744.

When airlines cancel the flights they will fully refund the fare. As of 09AUG11, there is schedule changes to BKI in W11 that shows 2 weekly 737-800 from 17NOV11 to 28FEB12, however reservation remains closed. KUL from 30OCT11 to 31DEC11 is to be operated by 747-400, then switching to 777-300ER from 01JAN12.

Korean Air will not be resuming ICN BKI in 2011/12 Winter season looks like. Reservation is closed.
