  1. American Airlines used to lend out portable DVD player to first and business class.
  2. Another crash, also from Indonesia, they sure got issues.
  3. Whoa, Buran and US space shuttle are both covered with ceramic tiles. Also, space shuttle is also known as a "flying brickyard" in the US. That's why scrapping a space shuttle or Buran is like demolishing a six story building. you can see there's more dirts then metals.
  4. The Aviation Recreation Division of MMU Youth Development Club would like to organize a trip there.
  5. looks like a written off kind of damage. one way ticket to scrape yard for that one.
  6. Agree, most flight have their crew changed at one stop.
  7. Maybe i can stop by Houston frequently. I'll be finishing my diploma in MMU in one year, after that, i'm planning on getting a FA job with EK.
  8. This is just an excelent news i've read on a.net EK has launch DXB-IAH. The route will be operated by their upcoming 772LR.
  9. I've read this article a few years ago. If I'm not mistaken, it was Taiwanese (it's not a major carrier) and yes it's a 747.
  10. My dad arrives at SZB yesterday. He saw they already begin constructed the hangar for the Mriya and Buran. A very big one.
  11. I'm going to Beijing in June, with this offer, maybe i can go HK in May
  12. first the ghost, now the tarmac. this new airport got many sitch.
  13. I was informed by the pilot after we landed. He also mention that the compas was haywire for a while.
  14. My experience about lightning and plane was during my flight on board Continental 737-500 from LAX to IAH. Aprox 30 minutes befaore scheduled landing at IAH, our plane was hold to circle because of a bad thunderstorm nearby the airport. we could see lightning from above since the cloud is lower then usual. about 20 minutes before landing, there's was a lightning strike the ground and it missed the wing by approx 100 meters. however, it's a bit shaky that time and the cabin light suddenly dimmed for a few seconds. here's what the pilot announce about the weather "...the weather in Houston is not really good, there's a thunderstorm moving in from Southeast. It will be a bumpy flight...." pilot announcement during holding patern, seat belt sing is turned on "...All passengers please have you seat belt buckled. We'll be going through a bumpy approach which crosswind may be possible, don't worry we will take care of you all...." that was one scary announcement It turned out that, there's no crosswind but the landing was damn bumpy even some of the everhead compartment was accidently opened
  15. you got that right Ever heard that 9M-MRD (Heliconia 777) is 2 tons heavier then other MH regular 777. The paint for the heliconia texture alone is 2 tons, i wonder how heavy the hibiscus is.
  16. thousands of electric volt, that is even more powerfull then steel welding.
  17. Flood, heavy rain, strong winds, wow mother nature seems to be brutal lately.
  18. good news indeed It would be nice to see a helicopter painted in CO livery. More variety for the fleet.
  19. you can try walkie-talkie, but be very extra careful with it. I used to use walkie-talkie when i went spotting it houston. But the channel is very limited and you can't get all the station you want. My WT has a 5 miles range. not all airport using the same signal since my WT works well in Houston but i can't get a thing when i was in DFW.
  20. agree. What's important to me is that i can fly it
  21. i also don't use any add on. Go to Flight Sim thread and you can ask our professional simmers like Gavin, Tarmizi, Walter and some others about tuning your flightsim display setting.
  22. If i knew about this earlier, i would bring along my FS. It's only a laptop and a joystick. But i think some maybe wanna try the FS2004 Space Shuttle Challenge . Can you imagine of simming an aircraft at the speed of between Mach 7 to Mach 10 without getting overspeed warning By The Way, Welcome Saadiah
  23. I'm with you pieter. 732 thrust reverser also nice.
  24. didn't Houston airport uses this technique back in late 90s. i remember the time when a CO733 sucked a tow truck into the engine while at the tresshold.
