News regarding the participation of the Russian Knights? There is no confirmation on the offical LIMA-homepage, yet!?

A teh tarik session sounds very good! Wednesday the 27th? 7pm at Nasi Kandar Tomato Restaurant? What about the airshow-participation of the US-stuff? USAF cancelled all airshow participations in US and Europe due budget cuts. Blue Angels and Thunderbirds are grounded from April onwards.

Hello Iwan, I'll leave Langkawi on sunday 31th, after the fly-out! :-) I think, the area opposite the terminal is the best for taking pictures. In 2009 we took our pics from there. We stand near a small lake, marked here: http://www.langkawiairshowfan.blogspot.de/ as "SITE B"! We were on the hill "SITE A" also, but the light conditions in the afternoon were not satisfying. Would be a pleasure to celebrate an international spotter-meeting at the fence (and maybe in the evening with some drinks!?! ;-) ). On tuesday round noon, two of my friends will arrive from Germany on Langkawi and so far as I know, on monday will arrive a small group of dutch aviation-friends. If you like, find me on facebook! Hello from Germany, almost 6 weeks left!!! What are the latest news? Some questions: Will they do rehearsals on monday the 25th? Will most of the participants leave Langkawi on Sunday the 31th? If I remember right, most participants of 2009 show left on sunday ... Thanks! Cheers! Sascha

Nothing officaly known from airshow organizers regarding the participation of Russian Knights? Only the russians confirmed participation on their website ... Can't imagine the Red Arrows will be part of the show, because normally they will do their training for the upcoming season in April at Cyprus ...

Hello, we arrived at Langkawi! We saw the afternoon display from a hill opposite the airport! AWESOME! We changed our plans for tomorrow! We'll take picture from outside, to catch the dump&burn with 100mm! So we may do our meeting on Saturday? I will wear a blue T-Shirt with airshow-party.de on the back! Maybe during the break between both flying display times in front of the MiG-29 at the static display? At 0100h? If someone had a better idea, please post it here and we'll be there. I aked month ago, please allow me one more try: Are some of you guys interested in an international spotter-meet at LIMA 09? We´ll arrive on Thursday and leave on Tuesday the next week. We are one girl (Nicole) and two boys (Jens & me). It would be a great pleasure for us to say "Hello" to some Spotter-colleagues from Malaysia or Singapore and have a drink or two.
