  1. YES !!! Finally I got it today PH-HZR is a brandnew a/c originally for SpiceJet (India) but will start her life with Transavia Airlines during the 2006 busy summer season. And, it is in operation now since 3 days, and still wearing original full SpiceJet colours! Here seen on a very short final for rwy 27 at AMS/EHAM. Arrival from HER. PS - my first shot here with my new 70-200 F2.8 lens. Just a great piece of 'lens' Eric
  2. Yeah, the weather was really bad during the afternoon. I did not get a shot of PH-HZR today, will try tomorrow afternoon! With my new lens... Because tomorrow morning, I will pickup my 70-200mm F2.8 Pieter, I saw a picture of the SF.340, that is indeed a stunning looking bird! have fune at LEY on Sunday. Eric
  3. This morning, I went to the apron for general aviation at AMS, to take a picture of PH-HZR (in full SpiceJet colours, brandnew frame), although it was gone and went into service to CFU and AGP. Will take my chance either tonight (if the weather will stay reasonable) or tomorrow. But, I also noticed a nice old airworthy DC-3 (N473DC) ''Drag-'em-oot'', waiting patiently for her flight to LEY/EHLE to join the 'Dakota Fly-In Airshow' this weekend. Although, I've heard this lady is having mechanical problems on her landinggear, and it's still unsure about the next flight(s). Pieter, do you go to your airfield this weekend (LEY/EHLE) to watch the Fly-In? Hope you like her, Eric
  4. After being in Japan for a week and some days off for resting (and to get rid of the jetlag ) I was able to do some shooting again around AMS! On May 22, I noticed this nice Martinair A320 on lease from Iberworld, hence the Spanish registration. This aircraft is remarkable with her 'white' belly (usually the PH-registered A320's of MP have a grey-ish belly!) And today, May 23rd, I was doing my work again, when this Arkefly A320 (also leased from Iberworld) was parked on a remotestand just behind the JAL Made this picture using the camera of our office (4MP instead of my usual 8MP ) Interesting shot? Yes, because it is in a 'full' colourschema now! Bye! Eric
  5. Hi last night, a hangar of SN Technics at BRU (Brussels / EBBR) has been on fire, causing a destroying impact to at least 2 aircraft inside, CH02 C-130 Belgium Airforce EK-32010 A320 Armavia (!) A neighbouring B734 of Virgin Express is having some light damage but seems to be flying again soon. This is not good news for Armavia, but is it coinsidence? Eric
  6. Some more of April 30, 2006 @ Amsterdam Airport (AMS/EHAM): ArkeFly Airlines (TUI group) is leasing a single A320-200 from Iberworld (Spain). This aircraft is ex VT-WAZ with GoAir India by the way, hence the basic colourscheme of this Indian carrier. Aircraft is having a 2-class configuration, normal Economy and also 'Comfort Class', offering more legroom to the passengers. (I'm supposed to fly this same aircraft in Oct'06 by the way) For your info... also a second Airbus will be added to ArkeFly from next month, being an A321 from bmi british midland. Menajet (F-OKRM) is operating on a flight for Corendon Airlines (Turkey), coming in from Antalya when seen on final approach for runway 36R. By for now again, Eric
  7. Amsterdam (AMS/EHAM) April 30, 2006 Some beautiful final approach shots of runway 36R in last evening light! KLM F-50's look clean and 'fresh' in the revised colourscheme! (Flight KL1812 from Cologne) SAS DHC-8-400 from Stockholm ARN operated by this nice Turboprop tonight! A 'small' B757 of Arkia arriving from Israel! Usually this airline send their bigger -300 type. Nice! And runway 06 gave me this wonderful special visitor, a First Air (Canada) huge B727-200!! Operating a adhoc cargo-charter from Cold Lake/Canada on behalf of the Dutch army. Ok, that's all now folks. More updates to come by 'AMS-crew' Eric
  8. Hi I had a small talk with Pieter, and we would like to start a dedicated topic for pictures from The Netherlands, containing mainly the airports of: Amsterdam (AMS/EHAM) Rotterdam (RTM/EHRD) Maastricht-Aachen (MST/EHBK) Eindhoven (EIN/EHEH) Groningen-Eelde (GRQ/EHGR) and smaller airfields with more light traffic, e.g. Lelystad (LEY/EHLE), Enschede-Twente (ENS/EHTW) etc. etc. We will upload new pictures and stories from our country from time to time and share them with you! ********************************************************************************
  9. Thanks for your comments guys! Jonathan, no money huh? You should buy yourself a ticket in the lottery! You never know who far your luck will bring you! Maybe even to AMS let's put a few more pics online now... For Pieter, a nice and tiny Fokker 70! PH-KZI departiing as flight KL1903 to Hanover bmi replaces all A321's by smaller A319 aircraft. Their A321s go to Inter Airlines (Turkey), Monarch Airlines (UK) and Turkish Airlines. Seen operating one of their many services to London Heathrow! Very good! NCA carrying a rather light load today JA01KZ lifting off to Tokyo NRT via Frankfurt. Hopefully it will get some additional load from the Germans Wow! The A330-200's look just great in their KLM blue livery! Seen departing to Newark (EWR) as KL657. That's it fellows! Enjoy them, Eric PS - I don't know why the F70 is appearing in a bigger size then the others here Pieter, as you should know already, IF you come with me, the weather will be good Remember...TXL, DUB We were very lucky their!
  10. Hi saw a nice sunshine through my curtains this morning so I decided to get to the airport for a few hours (until 'coffee-time') It's only 5 minutes driving for me on the quiet Sundays. No traffic jams around at all! A shame the sky became more hazy soon after I left home! Anyway, again some stuff from Amsterdam for you! PH-MCE, departing as flight MP091 to Sharjah, Singapore and Sydney! A long way to go... One of the few remaining 737's without blended winglets, and still in old colourscheme! This one has shortly returned to Transavia from a lease to Air Paradise! Now seen departing for Palma and Ibiza (HV735) The B757 with blended winglets are just stunning! As always, it seems that Continental aircraft have a low climb rate at AMS. Operating to Newark as CO103 I've been many times on this flight to Geneva myself, and an easyJet A319 still looks pretty good with these orange billboard-style livery painted on the fuselage! This is a quite new operator at AMS, Vueling Airlines. This flight goes to Valencia/Spain. Nice background isn't it? Will post more images later, Eric
  11. Wow, nice picture! Japanese government indeed used a Thai Sky L1011 for their military charters to KWI (Kuwait Airport). They also fly their own B747-400 to the Gulf Region to replace/transport the soldiers. Yukihiro-san, Komaki airport should be much more quiet nowadays since the new Chubu airport has opened? Eric
  12. Here a few more then; Departure from remote stand Y71 (far away from public areas, but close to the highway) Startup the engines, and the rain was falling and falling from the sky.... And a full power for departure on runway 24, see all the water spraying behind the Boeing 747! Hope you'll like them! Eric
  13. Nope It's a pity even for JL staff we are not allowed to bring camera's onboard. Interiour is not that very special in my opinions. Colour settings mostly grey/black/light brown. Rear compartment behind the wing is normal standard economy seats, no IFE. I was doing loadplanning for this machine with a collegue of me, and was mostly working outside the aircraft. Almost 40 'crew' were on board to do 'training'. The African airport will be visited within 2 months on an official political tour.
  14. Hi on 2nd Easterday (Apr 17th) in loads of sunshine one of both Japan Air Self Defence Forces B747-400's was announced to our office for flight training purposes, on the way from Japan to the African continent. The flight crew wanted to have a overnight at AMS, before heading to ADD and ACC on the 18th of April. Departure was in early morning in heavy rain, but it was a spectacular sight again. Have 2 pictures to share with you, (if you like them maybe some more) Upon arrival from Sapporo. Nice sunshine and as always this aircraft is having a very well cleaned fuselage! Runway 24 departure in bad weather. Early rotation, picture made after handling this machine myself prior to departure. Rgds Eric
  15. NO, it's ex Air France F-GJNK, a Boeing 737-528 Rgds Eric
  16. Pieter, I love the super sharp helicopter pics! "Vliegveld Lelystad" is something different indeed, but nice for a change. I use to stop here sometimes in summer on the way down to my hometown Zwolle where my roots are Keep these pictures coming! Eric
  17. whaha, you went to Lelystad? What was happening there? A F27 running on the taxiway? No without kidding... we were taking some 'fresh' air this afternoon with a walk, and of course I took my camera! Lucky me that this machine came down just at the right moment I didn't expect it at all... Some research learned me that the aircraft was stored at TLS (after retirement by AF), sold/leased out to PS, but never went to them, instead it went directly to JP. But indeed, the tail looks basic PS-colours. Eric
  18. Hi Adria Airways now operates a single Boeing 737-500 in their fleet, consisting of Airbus A320-200 and CRJ-200 aircraft. It's said that the A320's are too big for this carrier, and that is the reason of the introduction of this ex Air France (F-GJNK) aircraft in their fleet. It visited AMS today in a rather simplified colourscheme on the scheduled service from Ljubljana! So European spotter have something new to look out for now Eric
  19. Hi late afternoon today, an Iberia Airbus A320 (EC-ICV) was evacuated after emergency landing on AMS rwy 27, by using the escape slides. The flight left AMS little before this for a scheduled flight to Madrid. Some passenger in the cabin made a clear notice of a bomb-threat, and the captain made the immediately decision to return as soon as possible to AMS. The aircraft was evacuated after landing next to the runway on a remote stand, and the passenger who made this threat got arrested by Dutch military police services. The aircraft is searched by special dog-patrols and nothing of serious matter has been found. The identification of the arrested passenger is not known at this time. Lucky enough, also this story ended safely for everybody! cheers, Eric
  20. Hi Haneda is not purely for domestic services nowadays; e.g. Asiana Airlines still operates scheduled flights to Seoul (ICN) and Busan (PUS) with A330-300 aircraft. Also JAL operates a view international flights out of HND (also to S-Korea). Cheers, Eric
  21. Pieter, JL 767-300's, 777-200's; -300ER all have this cabin. Seats are quite comfortable, even for me (and you know, I'm not a small Japanese guy ). From October, also AMS flights will have these new Y-class seats on the B777-200ER aircraft. Next month, I'll try JL's new C-class product on a B744 (first time for me to take the new seats). Will write a report about it! Eric

    JA402J

Great shots Pieter! You'll see both of our beauties (JA401J and JA402J) now every Sunday from 1135-1405 at AMS. They operate our new cargo route nonstop to NRT (over Siberia), instead of a route westbound via ANC (still done by the B747-200F on Thursday/Saturday) I see you handle your camera well now? Eric
  23. 9M-TGR is expected now Pieter, parking S82, coming from KUL via DXB.
  24. Will be handled at Sierra, comes to pickup ''empty equipment''. So easy to take pictures when it leaves on Monday morning! Eric
  25. Hi just to let you (...Pieter) know, this Sunday March 26, a Transmile Air Service MD-11F (planned 9M-TGQ) is expected at AMS/EHAM. ETA 2115 ETD 0915 (March 27th) Quite an interesting machine to catch at AMS, would be a first visit for us here for sure Anybody at KUL who can check/confirm this flight operation to AMS? Rgds Eric
