  1. Saw my photoshop on A.net today. Just note that the rendering is MY own speculation from the article from the star. Dont take everything without a pinch of salt ya?
  2. Ah. That is the odd plane i can see at the G gates. The unknown Mad Dog. is there a place to check who owns the plane?
  3. In any situation - its best to check around for prices and timing. Yes they are cheaper - but is it in the middle of the week or the weekend? peak season or non peak season? Also, time of departure too. And either its a non-stop or with stop over. Lots of factor to check. And AirAsiaX is just one more option to choose from. Isnt that the whole idea of the route anyway?
  4. Yeah. i dont think what Min drew/reposted is the proper proposal. This is my interpretation of the proposal. Note the questions.
  5. They do - the other winglet is painted with the malaysian flag.
  6. did anybody caught X-calibur's return today? http://blog.airasia.com/index.php/guess-who-came-to-visit
  7. Hello there jacktam. Unfortunately, the internet does not work that way. You need to upload the pictures/videos at a video/image hosting website. For easy management, there's Flickr or Photobucket, but the former has a 100MB limit in bandwidth. For not-so easy management, there's imageshack.us
  8. wait. when did the flight depart? What time? Also, how long is the flight? i am getting conflicting infos here - some say 12, some say 13, some say 11 (without tailwind). Dr Naim, apparently i will try X-Calibur first than you will go on later (check out my siggy)
  9. kenneth: it IS from a LCC airline. the three 738s are ex-XL from europe.
  10. good shots there Liew. I was waiting for XAB for an hour...and left. What time did she land? Also, thank you for giving an image for the short post i had earlier.
  11. I think its a dual pun? Red-2-go, as in the plane is red. And maybe Re-D-2-go, as in Ready to go? Tried the url, but i think its not up yet.
  12. Sigh. I tried to loiter around 32L to catch a glimpse of D7's A343 (correct right?) but i think its either delayed or i am just to impatient to wait for it. I waited long enough to managed to have both the Bulis AND the Beredar team to ...shoo me away. I only parked at the side of the road, so they didnt ask me for my details or anything. While parked, i saw at MAS engineering the planes parked there was numerous - ranging from 734s to 744s, even the 742 of MasKargo. At hanger #6(?), i even saw 4!! planes parked in for Maintainence i presume. Will MAS ground this many of their planes to offset the economic crisis, or this is a normal MRO cycle? Also, i saw one of the 738s parked next to the 742. Not sure of the rego though.
  13. Yeah. Sorry - the XAB. Also, i just noticed that the rego for the plane is done in black rather than white-on-red. I wonder why?
  14. Anyone knows when and to where will XXA (?) will be flying off to? Want to try before the UK flight....
  15. Ah. A reply from the management. It is good that MW is at least being an outlet for customers to reach to MAS> So the leased 738s will be for at least 18 months. Ouch. I wonder if retrofitting the J seats is more expensive than just leaving the current seat, as if you put in J seats , you have to reposition ALL of the rows, maybe even take some out.
  16. ....Ye..ah.....Typo there.. anyhow, the 757 looks like they took the 767's fuselage, shrink it a bit to make it NB, chop off about 1/3 to 1/2 of the cargo area space, put back the 767 wings and engines, and a tall nose landing gear.
  17. I always find the 767 a funny looking plane - it looks like they took a 777, cut half the cargo area and slapped some tall nosegear
  18. As i said earlier, we do not know what are the T&C that MH signed upon getting the three ex-XL planes. Personally, the small wau reminds me of the old fokker 50s While its easier to swap out from a 734 the J-class eats - is there any unused planes in the fleet? Maybe MH is waiting a shipment of recaro seats for the 738s and will install them later? Right now my mind is filled too much with questions than answers to the three 738s. I do hope someone can fill us in with why they got the 738s in those conditions. I also hope that MH will receive input from customers on the furnishings of their ...35? owned 738s
  19. Phil: someone should send thestar and NST and those dailies letters to ask MAHB why. Maybe you can be the first?
  20. Of course we dont know how is the agreement is like between the lease company and MAS about MLA-MLC. For all we know its the lease company that says change nothing but the paint. Nasi lemak in a banana leaf... i would like that.
  21.  Thanks for noticing my typo there capt Radzi Sometimes you type faster than you think... Anyhow, when she first landed, she was once parked inbetween MASKargo's 742 and MAS's 333 near to MAS hangar #1 ( the one not designed for the A380). And in the SAE's hangar are just a few airasia NBs, not Xcalibur.
  22. Guys, anyone knows where is Xcalibur? D7's a343. Passed by 32L a few times to catch a glimpse of her, but apparently she is neither at the MAS hanger parking area nor airasia's shed. Is she off on a painting job somewhere else?
  23. I wonder when MAS signed the lease agreement with the lease company, did they agree with the layout of the cabin? or they begrudgingly go ahead to ink the agreement so they can get a few 738s? The best benchmark however is the people who has flown IN the new 738s. Anyone has any idea which route it is taking now? and for which dates?
  24. Most likely its a Qatar flight, seeing qatar is wetleasing Jet Airways 77Ws. Someone even made a TR on A.net
  25. Which one? 9M-MLA or MLB? we know that MLA is already in KUL - in the MAS engineering hangar. Or are you talking about at the gates? BTW, I feel both sand and happy seeing MAS aircrafts being parked in and around the apron area and engineering area. Sad because when the planes are parked - it means that its being serviced or there is no use for them Happy because i can see how many MAS metal are really out there.
