  2. Flee Thanks for updating the list. 9M-FID should be MSN 1178 Test Reg F-WWES. MSN 1161 is 9M-LMP. Geoff
  3. So its seems Berjaya has stopped flying to Pangkor based on the passenger figures and there is no mention of Pangkor flights on there website. I had an enjoyable flight there and back on the Dash 7 last year but the flight had only about 12 pax going and 15 coming back. Is the airfield closed now or still available to private aircraft? Passengers to Tioman and Redang way down. The tourist trade must be being hit bad. Geoff

  6. Given the date of the photo was 22nd August it's very likely the two aircraft in the photo are 9M-MXW and 9M-MXX, both of which have now been delivered. Geoff
  7. A London-based Malaysia Airlines spokesman said: "The London-Kuala Lumpur route is highly successful and will carry on." http://travel.aol.co.uk/2014/08/29/malaysia-airlines-free-flights-sale/
  8. Malaysia Airlines is to cut 6,000 staff as part of recovery plan after being hit by two disasters this year. The reduction in staff numbers represents around 30% of its workforce of 20,000. BBC The first of several drastic actions to save MH. Sad for all those that will lose their jobs. Geoff
  9. Losses of over RM4 million every day so far this year with warnings of things getting worse in the next six months doesn't bode well. Some drastic and painful changes required to turn this one around. Geoff

  15. Jahur I looked on http://www.berjaya-air.com but couldn't see any flights with the CRJ or to BKI. Could you provide a link? Thanks Geoff
  16. Just found a picture of a Berjaya Air CRJ in Canada http://pierregillard.zenfolio.com/img/s7/v168/p197674521.jpg?dl=1 Quite a conservative colour scheme. Any one heard anything regarding start up of operations? Geoff
  17. I wonder how good the foundations of the terminal itself are. Any sinking causing structural problems with the terminal would be even more embarrassing.
  18. The latest 12 month figure for KUL is 49.5 million passengers so for sure it will break the 50 million/year mark in the coming months. Geoff
  19. Another Malindo ATR delivered MSN 1161 ATR 72-600 (72-212A) Test Reg: F-WWEB First Flight: 10-07-2014 Reg: 9M-LMP Delivered: 19-07-2014 Geoff
  20. I'm slightly puzzeled as to why it is taking so long to determine the nationalities of those onboard. Surely MH and the Dutch immigration authorities have the passport details of all those onboard. Still 4 passengers nationalities "unverified" Geoff
  21. A truly sad day. Unfortunately this is not the first time a civil airliner has been mistakenly or deliberately shot down claiming hundreds of innocent lives. This tragedy could even have fatal consequences for Malaysia Airlines given its current financial situation. Pan Am's loss at Lockerbie certainly contributed to it going bankrupt two years after the event. Geoff
  22. Not winning a Skytrax award is probably the least of MH's worries. Does anyone take any notice of these awards? Geoff
  23. Weststar Aviation Services' first AgustaWestland AW189 is on display amongst the AgustaWestland helicopters. Still carrying Italian test registration I-EASO. Geoff
  24. All quiet on the CRJ front. I saw 9M-CRC & 9M-CRD reported at Peterborough Airport (YPQ) on 24th April but I can't find any photos. Are the aircraft in storage now? Anyone know the construction numbers allocated for these four aircraft? Geoff
  25. Four of the six airframes involved are quoted as: #5035 - 737-800 for Shenzhen #5036 - 737-900 for Delta #5037 - 737-800 for Air China #5038 - 737-800 for Southwest Geoff
