DHL Express (Malaysia) country manager Sam Leong said instead, the carrier will switch to the US-based Polar Air Cargo Worldwide Inc to operate those flights. "Polar will take over our US-Asian flight service from March 31," he told Business Times in a written reply. Polar is 51 per cent owned by Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc, and 49 per cent owned by DHL Express. It operates a large fleet of B747 freighters. No reason was given for the switch, but Transmile had recently announced that it had stopped its flights between the US and Subang airport since January this year, following a directive from the US Department of Transportation........ See the full text in Cargo News Asia Well DHL has 49% of stake in Polar, so it's right step for DHL anyway. And they have larger fleet as well... Poor transmile...
