China Airlines Boeing 747-409 Dreamliner Livery DAMAGED!!!!

What it's saying:

 

The Dreamliner 747 that belonged to China Airlines, while performing CI005 on 20DEC, had an unfortunate encounter with a stray container from Continental. The plane was hit in the engine and required a replacement. The flight is delayed (scheduled) 21 hours so far, according to the CI website.

The replacement was going to come from one of CI's freighter, which also used GE CF6 engines.

 

Note the plane was in LAX during the incident

 

I'm very shocked to hear that CI's most decorated plane, B-18210 "Dreamliner" is damaged

Andrew, rather unfortunate, however incidents like these happen almost daily. It only ever becomes news when the a/c is done up in a special scheme.
