MASwings suspends Kuching-Pontianak-Kuching routes

KOTA KINABALU, Jan 8, 2016:

MASwings will be suspending its three times weekly services from Kuching–Pontianak–Kuching, effective Feb 1.

Flying its last flight to Pontianak, Indonesia on Jan 30, the decision to suspend the Kuching–Pontianak–Kuching route is part of MASwings’ network rationalisation plan with its intention to concentrate on the growing domestic routes, which is its core market.

All affected passengers are being notified via passengers’ registered email, SMS blast and calls; and given the options to change their travels to an earlier date subjected to seats availability, or to get a refund.

In a statement issued today, MASwings expressed regret over the inconvenience caused due to these changes and assured that all bookings throughout the affected dates will be honoured.

For further assistance, customers may visit MASwings ticket offices, call their respective travel agents, or contact Malaysia Airlines’ 24-hour Call Center at 1300 88 3000 (within Malaysia) and +6 03 7843 3000 (outside Malaysia) or at +561 6726845 for Pontianak office.
