Mini mileage run; same plane turnaround at AOR - do-able?

Recommended Posts

Was wondering;

If one were to do a mini mileage run, with a same plane turnaround on MH at AOR (KUL-AOR-KUL) - does the layout of the AOR terminal facilitate this during the 25 to 30-minute when the plane is on the ground?

Will pax have sufficient time to present oneself at the departure gate at AOR having just arrived? (1) Is there a physical door leading to/ blocking access to the departure gate which closes say, 10 mins before ETD, or (2) will ground staff not know who's not there until the flight is called for boarding (like, say, at LGK)? The latter maximises ground time for the pax to do the turnaround.

Appreciate some insight from those who know AOR well.

Note:

Pax will have 2 separate outbound & inbound reservations, hence 2 e-boarding passes & of course no checked luggage.

Pax not interested in other destinations, so dont bother suggesting PEN or elsewhere.

Well last time I was there if I recall correctly arriving passengers are funneled through to landside, no access to departure holding area on the first floor (second level). There is a door that connects the holding area to each gate/jetway, you could probably tap on the door and present yourself to the ground agent so you don't have to go landside. But since the terminal is rather small (only 2 gates :lol: ) I reckon one could go landside and then airside again in maybe 10 minutes or so, or even less because by the time arriving pax disembark most departing pax will have gone through security anyway.

Can't you let the crew know and simply stay in the aircraft until departure?

yes..you will be able to do it, as AOR is not as busy as other airport.
