alberttky 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2012 Malaysia Airlines has announced plans to increase the amount of inflight entertainment (IFE) offerings on all its Boeing B737-800, B777-200, B747-400 and new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, all of which run an Audio Visual On Demand (AVOD) system. The carrier is working to double its IFE content: passengers will now be able to choose from 60 movies, up from 30, and 170 TV programmes instead of 94. The number of foreign films will be expanded from 24 to 36 and the audio collection will be beefed up to 400 choices, up from 200. Foo 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2012 Not sure if 744s are leaving soon (a year or two?), but if the IFE improvement involves significant hardware modifications then it might not make much sense upping the offering on 744. Johan Z 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2012 They really need to update their 777 as they will stay a lot longer than 747 and old A330. My experience on MH new A330 was quite good.
