Very nice shots Victor. Third shot for me as well. Saw the special tail F/A 18 off the beach here at Batu Ferringhi yesterday afternoon. Too far away for a decent photo though. Seems to have "70" on the fins.

Raymund, nice shot. Thanks for posting. It's some 5 years since I last saw an AN124 here. The load they were carrying would be the ground equipment belonging to No. 6 Sqn RAF. That squadron is bringing its aircraft to Malaysia for the forthcoming 5 Power defence exercise which I believe starts shortly. I hope that they will still be here for LIMA in early December. Not sure when the Typhoons are due to arrive though.

Thanks Raymund. I believe that 2 An124s carried the equipment out here from Leuchars in Scotland. So, might be another arrival soon.

Just seen F-WTAU climbing out of PEN on FlightRadar24. Anyone got any idea what it was? Another ATR ferry possibly? Sorry, this was posted in the wrong thread. Should have been in the Penang thread.

Pieter, not surprising really given the arrival/departure times, 3am/1am respectively quoted by Yorden above, of the ATRs. Pretty much impossible to get any photos at those times. Even getting on the ground shots is difficult at the moment as the airport is undergoing major reconstruction work. Not sure where they would have been parked but if in front of the tower on the fairly new stands, again, not much chance of any good photos. Not sure if they would be able to access the old GA pan as new gates are being built out of the north end of the terminal and seem to pretty well block access to that area. The F100 timings allow a better chance of photos, weather permitting. Last Sunday it certainly did not! Yorden, thanks for the additional info on timings.

Many thanks for the heads-up. Managed to get down in time despite driving through very heavy rain in the Green Lane area. Weather at the airport was cloudy but dry. Spotted the B744 on approach at 14.20. it did a full-stop landing off that approach and then sat on the taxyway for about 25 minutes before starting the first session of touch & gos.
