At first, I appreciate to all of you helping the Japanese people struck by the big earthquake on 11th March. It has passed 2 weeks, but still a lot of people are missing because the damage is too large. Even though Japan is a bad situation, I went to the airport. The day of 11th March, the IRON MAIDEN had planned to visit Japan to hold the concert in Tokyo. They had departed from South Korea, then their aircraft approached to Narita around 14:30. Their aircraft descended to 8,000ft...at that moment the big earthquake occurred. The Narita airport was runway closed, and their aircraft diverted to NGO soon. The IRON MAIDEN decided to cancel the Japan tour in next day, and they had departed from NGO to the next position via HNL. Astraeus Boeing 757-28A (G-STRX) On the other hand,Etihad has changed NRT-AUH route via NGO instead of direct route. On 21th March, Etihad sent A340-500 to this route. Sorry, I have no idea But I stayed at "Golden Phoenix Hotel" near the airport in this time, and we could watch arrival traffic from their car park However I didn't take photos because we arrived at the hotel in the night and departed in early morning Pieter san> Thank you for the information of hotel near the airport I have not booked the hotel of next spotting tour on Sep yet,I refer to your information

Samuel san> Yeah,spotting in PVG is troublesome My friend was spotting outside of the airport, then he was informed to public peace authorities by someone! Waiping san> At least PEK is safe for spotting But according to my friend who visited PVG last year, he was taken by public peace authorities and received the investigation at their office. PVG is really severe for airplane spotting around the airport! If you go to PVG, please be careful Also please hide your camera when you don't take photos. The heat wave was terrible though it was really cold day on that day... Tuan san> I was spotting here *point A This spotting point is a park and easy to go from Terminal3 by walk There are 3 x R/W(36R/18L,36L,18R and 01/19) in Beijing airport. The park is located at the end of 36R. Almost departure traffic were using this runway. On the other hand,the arrival traffic of CA,ZH,SC,3U and foreign airlines(T3 users) were using 01 and CZ,MU,HU,OQ(T1 and T2 users) etc were using 36L. Sometimes,I caught 36R arrival traffic, but it was only 4~5 planes. The first Tsurumaru plane is B767-300ER(JA654J) JAL PRESS RELEASE It will be used on Haneda - Kushiro domestic chartered service on 28th Feb for the first time, then will be used to international route. The first international route will be Haneda - Beijing on 2nd Mar. I remember NRT-KUL ruote is operated by B767-300ER, so I think most of KUL spotters can catch it soon

Yesterday, I could see a rare bird at Yokota AFB World Airways McDonnell Douglas MD-11 (N272WA) We usually can see a lot of MD-11Fs(FEDEX,Eva,UPS and Aeroflot) in Japan. all of them are cargo plane... Yesterday, the prime minister of Bulgaria visited Japan by VIP aircraft. I went to HND to catch it Bulgaria Government Airbus A319-112 (LZ-AOB) Bulgaria Government seems to change VIP aircraft type from Tu-154 to A319.

JAL new CI *Japanese only Today, JAL announced new CI on website. It's too dull all white fuselage with JAL titles

However, we can not see B747 & A300 with old logo because both aircraft will be retire on March,2011

Sorry it's not my picture... Now MH operates flight service between Haneda and Kota Kinabalu 3 times per week. The flight schedule is from Kota Kinabalu ETA 23:00 (Mon,Wed,Fri) To Kota Kinabalu ETD 01:20 (Tue,Thu,Sat) Everytime is "Vampire" However, we can take a photo from an observation deck of new international terminal of Haneda because it opens 24h! I want to get her now, but it's too cold to take a night shots in winter season in Japan Currently, around my town is 1 degrees!!

Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 767-33A(ER)(Winglets) (N582HA) at HND The Hawaiian Airlines has started flight service between HND to HNL from middle of Nov. But her schedule is night time...
