Pilot wave good bye to us and being pushed back for taxi.

How's spotting nowadays at KLIA ? Have seen some great videos on Youtube recently, meaning road to Weather-station open again (?)
Hello Pieter, road to weather station has reopen only to a certain distance. Weather station seems closed as of now.
But spotting seems good and our anniversary in 2014 there should be a good one.

While my collegue at the satellite team busy with the crews , i waste no time to explore the whole cabin.

As soon as we got our escort , we made our way straight down to where we wanted to position our self.
Our friend here got excited when he spot the aircraft approaching towards us.
We positioned ourself and confirmed that the DC10 will be park at gate C4.
Biman DC10 seen here passing Anjung Tinjau before turning in towards us and to be parked at Gate C4.
Right after turning, the Captain seated on the right spotted us and start waving at us.
As soon as the aircraft got nearer, the sound of the engine is so good. Seriously, i've never heard such superb sound quality from any other aircraft like the Super Jumbo or the Dreamliner.

Since entering Satellite terminal and took a nap, we proceed to the arrival gate where the plane will be park. However, the security personal were just arriving and had our escort were no where to be seen.
We had still to wait even when people start entering the waiting hall. As a passenger, we would want to get through security as soon as possible. While from this point of view getting stranded at security, there is whole new experience watching Bangladeshi getting through their way.
Only until after Norman got a call from a security personnel , we were soon on our way getting closer ..

Hon Kit, I remember from last year poll & conversation that MW anniversary will follow a cycle of 1 year Malaysia/ 1 year abroad. This year venue is in Malaysia but it could be elsewhere than KL area?
Oh really. Anyway, no matter where, glad that you are coming and will be getting to meet you again.
There are not much place we can go. Most accessible as of now is KUL and BKI.

Chuo Sheng, was there with Waiping in April and been there before in Feb. Rarely 09 in use for me. Most of the time they use 27 as there is ILS for landing.
You can go to the beach where there is a resort near by and spot for 27 departure and so far this is the safest spot.
We tried spotting from the road side, there will be airport police patrol frequently. And dangerous as need to climb on the fence to shoot where the road is very busy.
We even went to the spot near 27 touch down point. There's construction going on and 1 of the contractor who don't speak any English contacted police . The police came in 10 minutes and ask us to leave.
Thus, spotting in Phuket is not very nice i would say.

I like LCCT . I never had much issue with it. The only issue with them is they not have bay number on FIDS. Other than that, im fine.
When they move to KLIA 2, there is no more chance on walking on apron, getting close to so many aircraft with engine and APU sound.
I too had over nights in LCCT a few times before and as long as i get a place to sit and power socket to charge my device, I'm ok with it.
I'm probably 1 of the few that would miss LCCT.
