Boeing and Airbus have been fitting ADS-B equipment to their new aircraft now for some years, many other aircraft are also being equipped with ADS-B, and so the proportion of aircraft (international, domestic, civilian & military) being able to be tracked by the SBS-1 equipment is growing all the time.
Because ADS-B is now mandatory in a number of countries, nearly all international aircraft can be seen on the SBS-1 screen.
