  1. Thanks to Wilson who PM me to remind me about the 3rd AY charter flight. I've been too busy recently. Monday 15 December 2008 AY1963 HEL-AMD-PEN STA: 1845h AY1964 PEN-AMD-KUO STD: 1955h PM me if you need assistance. I am in Penang and should be around tomorrow unless something screws up at work. Forgot to add that you can also expect the inbound phases of Hajj charters on 16/17/18/19DEC as MH8205/8209/8213/8217 respectively. Should be arriving at 0645h if they're on schedule. To be confirmed.
  2. I'm out of Penang also. Flew out on SQ197/06DEC, and saw 9M-NAA parked in front of the tower again! So it flew out 06DEC/1130h and came back within the same day? Anyway, that means there's a chance you guys can capture it if it departs on SUN 07DEC. I'll be in SIN until I return to PEN on SQ192/10DEC. See you guys and have lots of fun over the next few days! I was told by TG friends to expect varying types of equipment flying to PEN within the next few weeks.
  3. Tuesday 02 December 2008 CX692 PEN-HKG B-HUG
  4. Monday 01 December 2008 CX693 (HKG-PEN) was operated by a very Big-HUG... And AY1963 photographed at ISO400 in pretty dim light... here's what I got, and it's not any better than Yusoff's! Oh yes a correction to my earlier post, today's AY1964 was actually carrying passengers (who arrived 2 weeks ago on 17NOV) on the outbound journey. Next flight will be about 2 weeks later. Let's hope for better weather then. Nice meeting you, Yusoff!
  5. Affirmative, aircraft not night-stopping and will depart empty.
  6. Nice shots Wilson! Reminder to everyone about the 2nd Finnair B752 charter: 01DEC08 Monday AY1963 POR-AMD-PEN STA: 1845h AY1964 PEN-AMD-HEL STD: 1955h
  7. Yes, OE-LNQ was parked at Bay 15 for the past few days, and then repositioned to Bay 13 today for a 1330h departure to CMB as OS9602. Today's Hajj MH8080 was operated by 9M-MPK "Johor Bahru". TG426 HS-TEG is still at Bay 7 due to airport closure at BKK. Apologies, didn't take any photos due to gloomy skies.
  8. Yup, that's correct! B-HLD has been fixed and has been repositioned to Bay 14 for a 2030h ferry flight tonight. BTW, there is still no news of Batavia and Riau. Will keep everyone posted if I have any info. Next Finnair B752 charter will be end of Nov. I'll remind you guys when the time comes.
  9. Nice shots Yusoff!!! BTW, for everyone's info, KLM Cargo is now scheduled for Saturdays STA/STD 0740/0940, i.e. no longer on Fridays unless it's ad-hoc. B-HLD is still AOG at Bay 13. Tonight's HKG-PEN should be B-HNG, i.e. not B744. Seems like the B744 allocation for Mondays' HKG-PEN is not reliable. With regards to the B737 parked at Bay 15, it is OE-LNQ. Ramp handling by MH.
  10. Taken using a compact digital, so please bear with the substandard quality.
  11. SQ197D departed as revenue flight with approximately half of original passengers on board.
  12. Good luck with getting the B763! I'm out of Penang for these few days so I'll be missing her departure. There'll also be MH B744 Hajj charters these few days, so have fun!
  13. That aircraft was handled by KLAS. I'll try to find out what it was doing here. Did you also see the two SQ B777s at PEN on 17NOV? The one at Bay 8 was 9V-SVB (SQ192/191) while the one at Bay 6 was 9V-SVE (SQ197D). Weather was too crappy to shoot Finnair B757 as well.
  14. Yup declared AOG at 2330h/16NOV. Something to do with one of the spoiler actuators. SQ192/191 was operated by 9V-SVB and was parked at Bay 8. Very rare sight to see two SQ B777s at PEN (SVB at Bay 8 and SVE at Bay 6).
  15. Wednesday 05 November 2008 I've been waiting for this day...
  16. CS-TMT A330-300 sitting at Bay 4 now for a 04NOV/0400h departure (charter). 1845h is a touch n go for photography. If there're no clouds, then you can just about get the last light, but if cloud cover is thick, you wouldn't even be able to shoot with ISO400. Runway 22 evening arrivals can be shot from a road turning off from the main road and heading towards the industrial estate. Can't remember the road name now but it's next to a big canal, and there is a little shelter, visible from the main road. Alternatively, you can go up to the top floors of the carpark at QueensbayMall to capture aircraft on finals for 22. Runway 04 evening arrivals can only be shot if you have a car and a super high ladder. Several spots around, but the easiest would be this road next to DCA, leading to a crash gate, just before you turn into the airport. CX sent in A330-300 (B-LAA) today instead of B744 as planned. I understand that the B744 rotation for PEN is pretty unstable and subject to last minute changes. I wish it was B-LAD instead, but well, still a nice change from the boring B-HLx series.
  17. Only 2 flights for November: AY1963 POR-AMD-PEN STA: 16NOV/1845h AY1964 PEN-AMD-HEL STD: 17NOV/1955h AY1963 KUO-AMD-PEN STA: 30NOV/1845h AY1964 PEN-AMD-POR STD: 01DEC/1955h Timings ain't good for photography...
  18. Sunday 02 November 2008 For your viewing pleasure. HL7414 B-HLU CX692 PEN-HKG HS-TJD TG426 PEN-BKK 9M-MPR B-LDC PK-CJS SJ102 MES-PEN PK-KAO 3Y072 MES-PEN 9V-SVJ SQ192 SIN-PEN 9M-FYD 9M-AHG N338TM HL7449 KE368 PEN-ICN 9M-MPM MH8010 PEN-MDN (Hajj charter)
  19. Yes, on Monday evenings only (night-stopping and departing on Tuesday mornings).
  20. 01 November 2008 MH8006 PEN-MND Haj charter was once again operated by 9M-MPM, seen here departing from runway 22.
  21. 9M-MPM arrived at around 0400h this morning for a long layover prior to her 1140h departure. I'm not sure of the operating pattern for the other flights.
  22. Friday 31 October 2008 Hajj charter MH8002 operated by 9M-MPM The next few outbound MH Haj charters are as follows: 01NOV/1140h MH8006 02NOV/1015h MH8010 03NOV/1115h MH8014 19NOV/1130h MH8056 20NOV/1130h MH8060 21NOV/1130h MH8064 25NOV/1130h MH8076 26NOV/1130h MH8080 As with all charter operations, STDs are subject to last minute changes. All flights operated by B744 and will be parked at Bay 6.
