Ms Annamaria Gazba, Dato' Sri Subahan Kamal, Mr Argustinus Gunadharma & Dwight Yorke
Dwight Yorke as FIFA Ambassador giving a speech
After a short Q&A, The trophy is reveal to all. Guest can take a photo with the trophy with handphone camera and no DSLR allowed
For me, I was out in the tarmec with the aircraft
Dark clouds are forming in the background .....
Heavy rain started at around 1700 and the AC is on tow to Transmile hangar in the rain
Concluded my coverage for the event. Perhaps Liew have more shots to show when he is free.
Many thanks to Mike Tayaa, David Ong-Yeoh & Koh Mayanne both from PR, for making this a memorable event for the start of 2014.
FYI, the above aircraft will depart SZB 6 Jan 2014 Mon 0900 to CGK.

Look at the well decorated door
Ms Annamaria Gazba, Global Football Manager of The Coca Cola Company & Dwight Yorke, FIFA Ambassador getting down from the plane
Not easy to get a spot nearer to shoot the unveiling of the trophy

Time flies as our coverage for the trophy plane 4 years ago in this thread at KUL --> http://www.malaysianwings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13956&hl=world was still in my mind.
Ong was busy and unable to attend this event. At the very last minute, WT Liew and myself was on leave to cover for him.
Many thanks to MAB, event organizer and the PR company and their teams to allow us to cover the event.
I will let the photos do the talking from here.
Media arrival at 1400 at SZB VIP lounge at Gate 38
We were greeted by the lovely ladies at the entrance
More ladies at the registration counter
Here's the main stage for the event inside the lounge
Emcee did announce that the aircraft is slightly delay.
Event started around 1500 with speech by Mr Argustinus Gunadharma, Franchise Director of Coca Cola Far East Ltd Malaysia
Another short but hilarious speech by YH Dato' Sri Subahan Kamal, Senior VP of Football Association Malaysia
At around 1525, we were invited outside of the lounge to greet the arrival of the "star" for this event
To be continued ......

Many thanks to MWings members for sharing the info about BR 77W Hello Kitty.
Took half day EL to catch the kitty.
She was delayed for an hour but worth the wait.
-
WT Liew, didn't get your message until I saw this delayed Saudi on Rwy 32R from my OD flight window.
Sorry for the bad quality.

Just remembered caught VP-CBE together with the 747 birds on 30/10/13 on my way to BKI
Saw her in BKI on 3/11/13 morning and Waiping caught her departure noon from BKI and I got her arrival after a heavy shower in KUL

Nice coverage there Chaity....i was in the terminal at that time
Simon, you were going to Baghdad or Haikou ?

Merdeka day spotting for me would be in SZB for TUDM's birds in past years.
Yesterday, we went to KUL mainly for Iraqi Airways.
Lucky for us to have good light since it was cloudy for pass few days to welcome this Iraqi
On Sat, we do have these from Iran for a long time
Iran Air 747SP that KUL spotters used to chase years ago in the evening
Mahan Air with the nice green tail
An early year end bonus for us but probably not for the angler
Hainan Airlines from Haikou to KUL dedicated to the hardworking Hon Kit on a holiday
We were happy to get our main target in good light. Happy to meet some "old" KUL spotters as well.
-
Thanks Norman for the nostalgic 2006 photo of ladang view.
Good to hear that the single runway op is still ON as no weekday spotting in KUL for me for a long time.

Yesterday noon was cloudy and rainy. What a contrast from the sunny morning.
Without proper lighting, Hon Kit and myself still wait for the delayed MH4.
1st catch of MAS retro for me
Spot/Guess the airline
Ladang used to be a nice spot .......
-
One more from my memory card on that sunny morning
-
Thanks Norman & Ramani.
Haha Ramani, I will still shoot AK but almost all the photos stay in my computer.

Hi Shahid, it will be a long walk ( I guess at least an hour ) if you decide to do that.
You best bet is to stay at Anjung Tinjau for that DC-10. The place is OK without backlit.
