Rest in peace Uncle Pieter. Really grateful for being part of MWings all these years. Farewell.

Flee, thanks for sharing those shots.

Time to revive this CGK thread as some MWingers visited our friend Mr. Siola (4-6 May 2017) during Japan's Golden week period.
This is my first visit to CGK arriving in a cloudy evening
After meeting our generous host Mr Siola, Suzuki San & Flee at Terminal 2, we were chauffeured by Siola around the airport.
It was around 1730, and we had another 15 mins before sunset to catch some local traffic from Rwy 07L. Never mind the high ISO but just shoot.
This photo is dedicated to Yong as he cancelled this trip last minute.
In KUL, we have lamp posts to accompany some of our shots, CGK offers more challenge with CCTV posts
After a short taste of spotting in CGK, they sky was getting dark. We headed to downtown as most tourists would do.

French Air Force is moving over to SZB after completing their LIMA 2017 appearance.
French president is paying an official visit to Malaysia tomorrow.
Just a few shots to share for this evening.
2x Rafale and A400M
2-seater Rafale landing after their 2 times of fly past while TUDM's A400M waiting for take off
2nd Rafale landing with our typical rainy afternoon weather
This French Air Force A400M decided to add a bit of fun by going around
2 A400Ms in one frame with Firefly grabbing the front seat for the mini air show

Good comparison Ong, with a car in the background as well.

Any idea where is the location of the new ATC center?
Capt Radzi, I was scanning thru the news and from the photos, the location is somewhere I indicated as in the arrow.
Not far from the helipad area.
Just a quick and dirty grab of map from Google map.

Azahan, spotting 2 days in a row ! More hardcore than Mr Yong or Ramani.
With BA "tail-like" plus Dreamliner wave, she might get lucky and turn into a B789.
Lucky Air coming every Mon, Wed & Fri with ETA around 1245.
Share more of your nose shots during your 2 days there.
-
Hi Azahan, you were bitten by spotting bug and camped in KUL til late evening.
As our weathermen said, we will have wet CNY this year as demonstrated in some of your photos.
Happy CNY to all !
My usual CNY session this year was with Mr Yong and Flee on 30/1/17. Rain or shine just would not deter us from 32L.
My main target for the day was just for this new comer, Lucky Air.

21 Jan,2017 at Kagoshima airport
Japan Air Commuter
DHC-8-402 Q400 JA842C(Old c/s) & JA851C(New c/s)
Which one do you like?
Suzuki san, actually both schemes also almost pure white.
What I like in this photo is the composition of comparing the old and new cs. The best part is the nice background with the mountain behind.
I am imaging the nice weather with cozy breeze while you were there.
This airport is really far from your place! You fly into this airport just to do plane spotting ?
I certainly would like to see if you have some photos of the airport or terminal.

Does anyone know the fate of 9M-AZB? It did a brief stop in BKI while flying back from VCV just a few months ago.
Waiping, I believe the one you saw in BKI on 24 Nov 2016 as in http://www.malaysianwings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20612&page=8
This B744 with Eaglexpress title is still sitting in KUL.
Photo below taken last week.
Perhaps someone with full membership like Flightradar24 to track the history of her flights from Nov 2016 ?

Go get her for those around KUL.

Suzuki san, very good catch of the commercial aircraft and the other serious air force hardware !
I didn't know the F-15J (22-8938) has got such a big speed break on the back.
-
Thanks Ramani and Deezzul for sharing the good catches there on a sunny Sat morning.
Deezzul really "going places" in KUL covering different runways.
From Deezzul's photo for the Iraqi, then only I realize the inner or outer winglets are with different color schemes. Cool !
-
Paging for Ramani, light is turned ON 16 Dec 2016 upon your request !
Many thanks for the member providing the info of the arrival of this all white B777 VP-BEN. Arriving KUL around 9:45AM.
It was raining while she passes by. Just clicking away be it rain or shine
Ramani, this is for you. Just see how bright the light is in this photo
Time for you to visit KUL soon
-
Short stop to test again today. These two big mommas diverted to KUL from SIN due weather (but by that time Chaity already switched off the lights )
......
BA11 to SIN
......
LH778 to SIN
Ramani, good catch for the fat mommas from your "maiden" plane spotting in KUL.
It seems light off was not an issue with your gears. Photos still look nice !
-
Sri Ramani ? Who ah ?
Welcome back and show us more photos in the future both inside and outside the airport if possible !
