Naim 6 Report post Posted November 16, 2007 November 16, 2007 23:12 PM Malaysian Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Indonesian Beach By Mohd Nasir Yusoff JAKARTA, Nov 16 (Bernama) -- A Cessna aircraft, with two Malaysians on-board, made an emergency landing on a beach in Bangka, South Sumatra, Indonesia today. The duo, identified only as Mohamad Rajib, 23, and Mohamed Nuraiman, 25, were safe, said police adviser to the Malaysian Embassy here ACP Mohamed Pilus Ismail. They were being questioned by the Bangka Belitung police, he told Bernama. He said that further details were unclear. According to the police there, the twin seater aircraft had "El Admal" emblazoned on it which they said was the name of a Malaysian company, he said. It was also said to be on a Batam-Pangkal Pinang-Pontianak-Kuching-Bintulu flight before the engine broke down, forcing them to make a crash-landing, Pilus said. Earlier, Antara news agency reported that a Malaysian training plane made an emergency landing on a village at about 1.30pm due to insufficient fuel. -- BERNAMA http://www.bernama.com.my/bernama/v3/news_lite.php?id=296786
