Sometimes the explanation to a situation is the simplest one. The aircraft will be found one day, most probably in pieces by the fisherfolk.

It's all so confusing, can't they just assign just ONE spokesperson on behalf of all the incompetent agencies as an outlet to the press? Seriously with multiple mouths spewing garbage it's doing many people's head in.

I've sat in a Firefly F-50 cockpit whose Captain smoked in the cockpit. Smoking is illegal in anywhere in the aircraft, right?

Re. the possibility of the aircraft trying to turn back, it could have well been radar return of a large chunk of the aircraft falling and tumbling after an inflight break up...
Baffles me why the military aren't releasing some sort of playback, do they need to 'filter' something first? -
Points to ponder:
1. Passengers mobile phones rang when their families called from China. If crashed in ocean, would it still ring?
2. Pentagon didn't detect any explosions over the ocean
3. The 2 mystery pax must be Caucasians or they would not have been able to clear check-in and immigration.
4. The other 2 Ukrainian pax also purchased their tickets from CZ, along with the 2 mystery pax
Just my observations.
Point #1: You could also argue the passenger might have left behind/lost/misplaced their phone, and the phone is not actually on their person nor the flight.
Point #3: A good passport forgery might have hoodwinked immigration, or maybe the mystery pax did look caucasian. Besides, no one ever look that caucasian anymore these days what with the mixing of genes.

Our DCA Director General's conduct during PC has been embarrasing.
He cannot handle. His answers are appalling.
I know right, they should've got someone else to speak on their behalf, someone who could at least string together a complete sentence.

DCA needs a better spokesperson than the Director General himself.

I'm guessing they'll be looking out their windows as they approach IGARI. Really surprised they didn't change the flight number to MH370S or something. Can't imagine using the same callsign knowing that the last flight with the same callsign is still missing. Must be tough for the crew.
It's gone past the supposed point of disappearance of yesterday's flight 370 now. Can't imagine what the mood's like in the cabin tonight

The spilling of oil, could it be MH370 was dumping the fuel, so it can get lighter and land at one of the small islands south of Vietnam? My wild guess...
No, fuel dumping at altitude would've resulted in the fuel stream evaporating.

Summary: US Embassy in China claimed that a Thailand US army base intercepted an SOS call at 0243am, the crew requested for emergency landing as they were encountering disintegration of fuselage. The US army personnel has handed over the call to Malaysia authorities.
Okay now here's an interesting twist in the crisis.

Lets pray that there will be survivors. It was an unfortunate to happen this incident lately after MASWings DHC incident.
Best-case scenario is ditching at sea, but then the "successful" ditching in history were during the day. Looking pretty bleak now.
