I have a dear friend who lives in Perth, AU. He's MH #1 fan. But since MH swapped to B738 on the PER route, he switched allegiance to D7 and sometimes, god forbid, SQ. The audacity of him to fly SQ, I say! So he asked me to monitor PER equipment daily and to inform him if there are any changes so he can pledge his allegiance to MH again. After all, getting a non-BSI 737 on a 5-hour flight is blasphemous here. And so I did - checked PER equipment daily via GDS and voila - found out there's a change for the better for PER along with other routes

Why did they HAVE to fly into LHR during the day and risk the lives of their passengers? They could've flown in at the middle of the night when it's quiet. Clearly, they're too cheap to pay the fines that come with breaking the curfew, all in the name of cost-cutting.
The real question is why fly to LHR and waste 12 hours of fuel when they couldve just flown the A350 to KCH, both routes accrue 1 elite sector.
-
Very long flight and qantas had to endure a lot of comments.
The flight hasn't even started yet, mate.

Believed this is the first a330-200 for MAS. One in SIN another currently in Manila also. Credits to the owner of the photograph.
That Wau looks super-sized from this angle.

how i read it is that he implied other planes than the A380 are tin cans
I read it as him making a comparison between denser, Haj configurated "tin-cans" i.e. competitors (not necessarily other aircraft type or even a comparison with the remaining MH fleet) with the current, not-as-dense MH A388 configuration.

I dont understand your incessant need in resorting to personal attacks when someone disagrees with you or even begs to differ, as I have.well quick to point out that while not knowing what you were stating about, if only you werent that lazy to check out replies history
anyway i dont want to waste my time on lazy ppl, just find out urself
grammatically incorrect? i know and dont care, no one here is paying me for tht anyway
excited to see reactions...LOL
I truly am shocked that a lawyer doesnt know the difference between vocabulary and grammar. Its funny that you personally attack me as being lazy when in fact, you wont even google the phrase keyboard warrior for yourself. Your reply was hypocrisy at its best; you are the epitome of a lazy, keyboard warrior, and possibly even more, in my humble opinion of course.
But what would I know right? Im not a doctor or a pilot, and certainly not a lawyer.
Oh, and getting back on topic, how did you deduce btw that these MH social media staff were unsalaried? Im genuinely curious how you know this.
The singling out wouldnt happen if personal attacks didnt happen in the first place. There's technically nothing wrong with the promo video, even from a language standpoint. Ambiance is as correct as ambience as far as language is concerned. Heck even the spellcheck on this forum reply box is putting a red underline under the word ambience, but none under ambiance. Sure ambience is more widely used but ambiance is still correct, it doesn't even sound odd. This harks back to the AirAsia's Bank Rakyat livery where people disputed the tagline on the plane... 'Your Choice Bank' vs 'Your Bank of Choice'.
If some of the people here had known better then the wonky MH Facebook replies wouldn't have showed up here, causing the thread to start on its downward spiral to what it is right now. Let's see how far it's going to devolve.
By the way could everyone lay off on singling out other users. It only aggravates things.
Cheers all.

and these people were the ones who reminded ppl to stick to the topic..go figure, glad to see MH had some unofficial unsalaried keyboard warriors though
Inappropriate usage of grammar, spelling, vocabulary and/or punctuation et al in MH's A350 promotional video certainly counts as sticking to the topic, for me at least.
Btw, you might've used the phrase "keyboard warrior" incorrectly.

Wow Suzzane you're such a frequent flyer! So envious. Can't wait for my next KUL-SIN hop!
I concur, maybe one day I'll be able to aspire to fly an aeroplane, just like you do, every other day of the year!
-
With that sort of attitude, Id say the latter. You received equipment change email notification or you have some ability to foresee tech problems in the future?
Anyway, it was showing on my seat map on the MH app as 738 but as others have mentioned above, it seems to fortunately still be showing as an A359 everywhere else. Hopefully its just an MH app glitch.
-
Which flght was that? Did MH say what happened to -MAB?
26th Dec MH782 and 30th Dec MH783

What are you inferring ? You fight like hell - and now when someone agrees with you you bring children into the equation ?
Just so you know ya ... the so called people who didnt suffer your misfortune ... we are in the same boat. I have flown the bloody plane twice. And have another 3 more to go. All booked in good money revenue J. All moved back. I dont want to speak for others above individually - but in total I counted 17 segments across these so called people being sarcastic to you.
So again. What are you inferring?. We are together arent we ?
My downgrade back to the 738 from the A359 definitely necessitates a MAVCOM complaint!

T2 may be newer but it's not necessarily better than T1. Regardless, I don't know of anyone who chooses which airline to fly out of KUL purely based on the terminal it operates from.
I do actually; I tend to avoid any airline that flies out or lands into KLIA2, too far of a walk for my aged, arthritic joints.

That doesn't make sense. MH's 333 is 27J247Y configuration whilst AB's 332 is 19J271Y configuration. Why would they want less dense J cabin on a route that has stronger J demand.
It's meant to be used for regional flights with strong Y demand. OTOH, the 332 might replace the 333/738 on the BKK/DPS/DAC/CAN/TPE runs and second daily on HKG/PVG. I also know one member here will rejoice if they replace 332 with 738 on MH126/127
MH126/127 re-upgauge for sure! (wishful thinking)
The close proximity to "hairy legs" on the 738 is way too much to bear on a 5hr 30min run.

I submit claim for missing miles on my recent Qatar Airways flight on 21 September and today saw the miles already in my Enrich account. Very efficient indeed.
Maybe it was the actual posting of the miles albeit really late!
-
New Enrich website is up and running, seems to be a cosmetic change and unification exercise to have the Enrich website no longer as a seperate entity. Functionality remains the same with no integration/linking with bookings as it was previously.

the pax are all coming from Australia to London,Melbourne A330 pax transferred at sin onto the London bound A380 which originates from Sydney. So whether its kul or sin stop over it doesn't matter, Except that stopping over at kul is way way more cheaper as far as cost is concerned and now a days 5 star or 7 star cost is a factor and every penny counts.
There will never be a JQ flight from Australia to kul as JQ/3K is firmly planted at changi and it makes no commercial sense to fly directly to kul when there is already a frequency to Singapore from Melbourne and Perth. And then just a short jetstar asia flight to kul
I wouldn't go as far as to say that "all" pax originate from Australia only. Passengers do after all "pay" for the flights to happen and remain viable, pretty sure the demand ex-SIN far surpasses that of ex-KUL; but then again, I could be wrong, just being another arm chair CEO here.

Unconfirmed reports that D7 207 -XXT flying the OOL-KUL sector has diverted to BNE with a technical issue, possibly an engine issue.
It's only occured in the last hour and so details are still sketchy.
I'm hearing it was an engine fire.

Really? Tried to dummy redeem mine LHR - KUL, points needed is around 31200.
.
Date?
This was presumably in Y? The J redemption rates and just the system as a whole is a complete joke. Enrich is now among, if not, the worst FFP out there.

The check-in page is now available (web)
Looks identical to the one pre 10 June
Enrich redemption site isn't working as of yet; keep getting an error message saying "sorry, but you can only make 50 reservations per day etc". A friend of mine within the change-over team has escalated this on our behalf.

It's probably just me, but I cannot find anyway to login from MH's home
https://www.malaysiaairlines.com/hq/en.html
Clicking on 'LOGIN' only offers access to the Enrich bit
So dunno how to access my itineraries and other stuff online
That was so, until I played about with link furnished by Ashley Lee at reply #1828 above
https://bookings.malaysiaairlines.com/MHOnline/ApplicationStartAction.do
I can navigate from there
Anyone able to help ? Thanks in advance
Probably best to wait until after the 10th June when they update the website. Alternatively, you could retrieve your current bookings using the new MH Mobile App; for the iOS one, it's a whole new app altogether as opposed to an update of the old app. The new app accepts the 5 digit PNR and will also provide you with the new style Armadeus 6 digit PNR. Still not able to do any seat selection thought with the new app. Hope that helps!

He was also holding an electronic item making threats or something??? Claimed to have an explosive, ended up being a power bank in his hand. Read that he's Sri Lankan by nationality.

British Airways: Computer problems cause flight delays
from: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-40069865
Computer problems are causing delays for British Airways passengers worldwide, the airline has said.
WannaCry ?
Perhaps the influx of millions of Enrich members opening their brand new BAEC accounts resulted in this system crash.

I will be saying goodbye to the Enrich programme completely after this latest round of devaluations. It was significantly devalued only about 3 years ago and to have another major one so soon is just not acceptable.
Ditto.

Let's not forget 27k, or thereabouts, for a quick jaunt to LAX in J, via HKG. 😉
