Hello Everyone! What a great forum. Thanks for all the recommendations and advice. Much appreciated. I know the "passing the buck" thing. I am originally from Sri Lanka and it was there, and have lived in Los Angeles for the last 16 years, and you find it here too (but to a lesser degree). I guess it is sort of a global thing. :-) I know that Left Luggage at KLIA is an option. Again not very clear on the prices as some sites say that up to a 2 cubic meter space is an option for about RM 40, but the website says extra large for RM 48 per item. So, if we are not too tired, we will take the bags with us, and take the train or a taxi (to be decided later) to the Hilton. If the biys are difficult, just do Left Luggage, and take the train. Depending on what we do on the way there, we will decide where to check-in and how to come back. But, this is great to know what our options are. I will contact the hotel to request the pick-up at KL Sentral. I am hoping that they will let us do a Late Check-out as our flight is only at 11 p.m. to Colombo. Regards, Emil

Hi Mohd! Thanks for responding. The reason I asked is that I see some sites saying that the check-out sevice is starting/started sometime in 2007. Some say that I can send my luggage LAX-XKL, so that I don't have to deal with it at KUL. I sent an email to the KLIA Ekspres people, and they say I need to contact MH in LA. MH in LA says to ask the check-in staff at LAX. So, I thought I will ask the experts. So, thanks for responding. We have a 35 hour break in KUL, as I was using miles for the 5 tickets on MH, and there was no availablabity on the KUL-CMB flight on the same night (that would have made it a 11 hour stop only). We have three boys (9, 6 and a 2 year old) to handle, so want to get all the plans in place as early as possible. :-) Regards, Emil

I apologize for posting it here, but would love to get a definite answer (to my question below) from those who know Malaysian Airlines well. Hello! I will be flying Malaysian Airlines from Los Angeles to Colombo, Sri Lanka in Dec. I have a one and a half day stopover in Kuala Lumpur as I could not get award seats for the same day's flight. I have booked a room at the Kuala Lumpur Hilton (using points) . Anyway, to my question. Can I have my luggage checked through to the KL City Air Terminal (XKL) from Los Angeles, instead of having to take out my luggage at KLIA and taking it on the KLIA Ekspres to the hotel. I know that left luggage is an option, but I rather prefer to do a check-in (for the last segment) at the KL Sentral. Thanks in advance, Emil
