    1. Always carry your camera when you go to work.

    2. Always shoot all the rare ones from the cargo ramp area (where Ian, myself and others cannot cover).

    Hey Brennan, congrats on making it to the medical.. you're about 99.9% through since you're able to get to the medical stage.. as for Batch 12 being postponed, they're probably gonna be sent to Langkawi (or Kota Bahru) as MFA's newest MAS batch (but not so new - Apr '06 intake), is at Batch 19. Doesn't really matter where u get sent to anyway, most importantly, you've fulfillled your dream!

     

    btw, do call HR and ask about your medical from time to time.. i got my results after 3 weeks.

    I guess ill call the HR this week...and i hope ill come back with good news. i actually am not worried on where they would send me..just worried about my chances of actually being called for the briefing..thanks mate..keep in touch..

    Hey Brennan, Just read this topic, by the ways, whats your results for medical...?

    What are the test done during your medical check up...?

    Hey Pall, wasup..

     

    The medical check up is thorough. Eye check, Audio( Ear) test, Cardio, Blood test, Urine test, Reflex test, and a check up by the doctor.

     

    The last time i called the MAS HR, the HR personal told me my batch would be in end of FEB/ early March. But recently, the January 07 ( Batch 12) send off day has been postponed to the 5th of March. so i dont know if my batch schedule has also been postponed. MAS will not call and tell you your results for the medical but if you are selected they will call you when they have a date for the briefing..Most cadets call MAS HR to find out their results..

     

    In my case here, im patiently waiting for my results hoping it would come soon..if i have to call them one day i will.. Well.. hopefully it will be good news..

    I think a capt who is close to retirement or middle age for his career will receive almost 30K or more but definetely sure not less than 20k.

     

    Any Pilots, please confirm this....?

     

    If less than 20k when close to retirement than i think its quite low compared to other carriers....

     

    Please refer to Captain Lim's webpage there is a more clear picture there about salaries and wages.....

    It actually depends on the carrier in which they fly for..

     

    Some of their salaries vary due to experience and so on..

    RM 3383 per month is for when you are still under route training and not cleared to operate as a full fledged SO

     

    2nd Officer

    1st year - RM4055 ( cleared and now full fledged Second Officer )

    2nd year - RM4288

    3rd year - RM4534

     

    1st Officer

    Narrow Body ( twin otter, fokker 50 or Boeing 737)

    RM4787 - RM7601

     

    Wide Body ( Airbus 330, Boeing 777 and Boeing 747

    RM7317 - RM9351

     

    As i understad it a capt max take home is close to or just under RM 20k(max) thats when you are close to retirement.

     

    Cadet Pilot Training Repayment

    RM500/month

     

    Productivity

     

    Narrowbody = RM 15 per hour

    Widebody = RM22 per hour (average 70hrs/month)

    Above 80hours you get rm 80 per hour

     

    The above figure haven been deducted with TAX and EPF.

    Now the Most Attractive part besides all the $$$

     

    1. An office in the sky

    2. A reason to FLY all the time

    3. Up close and personal with sexy babes such as the 737, 747, 777 and the Airbus fleets.

    4. Lastly a job that promises you personal satisfaction and endless journeys if you have the right attitude and passion...

    and probably another disaster, second batch have been called scheduled to attend the test on sunday.

    roughly about 100 of them per session? keeps me wondering if my application reached them or not..haha

    brennan, just curious, have you received any replies for the coming test on saturday? a few of my friends have received their emails asking them to attend the test this saturday.

    i'm yet to receive anything, no confirmation nor failure.

    keeps me wondering all day long..

     

    No la macha..no email.. <_>

     

    maybe they are still yet to send out another batch of emails..

    Hey sanjay.... did they tell you which flying school you'll be sent if you are succesful? heard dat next intake will be somewhere around march in MFA !?

     

    Hmmm..

     

    If im selected the HR guy said it would be end of Feb or early March..
