  1. Not sure if it is compulsory or not.

    - I have arrived at GRU maybe 8 times in the last 2 years, and this question was never asked.

    - If you go to say, Colombia first, and then board a flight to GRU, then this question seems to be quite normal at check-in!

    - I have crossed the Argentina/Brazil border by road, no one cared...

immigration at GRU is so relaxed that if you arrive on business without a visa, they very kindly change your "purpose of visit" to "vacation" and let you in. (Malaysians get visa free entry for vacation only but not for business).

I know that for SQ, only those who have had the jab can work on the GRU route.

  2. I think boarding a full flight using 2 stairs aft and forward is much faster than through the aerobridge

If they want to speed up boarding, they should assign seats and use aerobridge to board. Once you get people walking on aprons it is hard to ensure that people board in proper order, causing congestion. So far my experience with slow walkers vs fast walkers, etc. - I think aerobridge is simply more orderly and therefore faster.

  3. I find the discussion on One World lounge access here very amusing. Look at SQ... they have a separate lounge for second class Star Gold members... and they don't give a damn...

As for CX... I have had a few flights with them but none was outstanding. Good, but there wasn't that special feeling like being on MH or SQ. HK hub is far superior though...
