[unofficial]
Got news that load factor is increasing up to 84.5% but the yield is still under pressure due to homeland competitors keep expanding.

As from what heard before, OD Max will be flying to Korea, Japan.

A330 shortage due to maintenance work

The difference between A339Neo to A359 is marginally USD 20 million less, while B789 to A333 is roughly around 5 million extra. Transition costs between 737 MAX and Dreamliner, can be reduced and leaving alone A380 to A350. Window shading factor is a wow, no headache for crew to ask the passenger to pull up. From technical aspect, B787 should provides better comfort in term of air-conditioning and jet lag from lower cabin altitude. A condition that provides invisible comfort. Since it's looking for widebody replacement, i'm voting for B787-9/10 Dreamliner. But MAB is not looking at this, period .

The livery that I loved the most for years is SIA although the design was century aged already. What I hope for MAB to do is the consistency in branding, improves hard and soft product when the company start to gain profit.

First 737-9 is already in assembly at Boeing factory with Lion Air as the launch customer.

Latest airline flying into KUL today Himalaya Airlines flight H9 890 with their new A320 9N-ALV
Thanks for photo. Looking good!
-
Malaysia Airlines has never had systematic fleet planning and it is MAB that has broken the trend somewhat when it ordered new B737Max to replace its relatively new B737NGs.
Agreed no more. But. still slower.

It is been told that Malindo will inaugurate its first flight OD267/8 to Jeddah from 21st Feb 2017 with twice weekly frequency and goes daily from 26 March onwards. I wonder what type of fleet does OD use. Seems the schedule journey time is about 11 hours 45 minutes. A330??

Wow, head-to-head fight with JL. It's getting more and more interesting to watch!
An extra mark for departure from Haneda airport which is closer to Tokyo city. so much win.
-
QR usually send their B787 on QR852/3 certain day in night arrival at KUL. They send B777W and A346 in daylight.
-
MTK is now flying out to Jeddah
Forgot to give updates on this. Haha. Yeah, now all A330s are flying with new J class.
-
As I remember, the ageing fleet is in process of retiring and new aircraft will take up route which aircraft is replaced. Slated end of Feb for KUL resumption flight, there's possibility to see their A332.
-
Previously they send A319 to KUL and they said the reason of stopping the route due to unhealthy load. Now this time they are using A321 which I guess is big enough.

Pay my tribute to him today as the cemetery was in my neighbourhood.

KLM has been a long player at KUL sector for years. With MH withdrawal from AMS plus codesharing, KLM recognition, market share and presence is getting stronger somehow.

off topic - any one knows when will the two 737 birds with LCC Y seat (grey leather, narrow ptich) leave the fleet? Conversely, I seem to catch them too often for my liking!
MLE, MLF, MLG, MLH, FFF are still flying actively, only FFD and FFE already end of lease, to be withdrawn from fleet soon.
They finally caught it. It was running around doing a MNL and SGN run the last few days. Like a dog I had that never wanted to bathe... very hard to catch.
Hahahaha this dog is too busy due to peak season, seasonal charter e.g CTS and equipment upgrade to certain routes. But yes, they finallycaught it, to stay idle for few weeks.

Those design from banner and model are different. I like design from the model one, just like with Oman air style.
