The tail camera feed on the A380s only available for passengers at takeoff and landing so no big loss to be honest.
At least the downward view you can see the ground beneath you as opposed to just seeing the top of the aircraft wings & fuselage with the tail feed.
Ek has the feed for pax throughout the flight. Watching it especially on descent punching through the clouds is mesmerising

Exactly. As with all other marketing tools out there, it may not work on us, but it works on others. If the cost of attaining a 5 star status is still manageable, why not? MH needs all the help they can get.Skytrax ratings are not credible for the knowledgeable. But many novices use it as a guide. Airlines use it as a marketing tool as there are very few other airline awards given out!.

Service wise they're ok. On long flights you will get sandwich and juice/packed milo in eco while in business (european style) you will get a proper meal. (Nasi Goreng/Omelette) Reliability is a hit and miss though

The rejection rate of US Visa for Malaysians is about 3% and mostly due to wrong filling of the application form.
I have had mine done last year and it was smooth, I queued like 30 minutes for my turn to be interviewed and took less than a minute to be asked with 3 simple questions and to be told my visa was approved and passport ready to be collected next day.
Well, I suppose if you follow the guidelines to fill up the forms accordingly, you would have your visa granted. But again a granted visa never guarantee your access to the US. I was made known Malaysia Govt has collaborated with US Govt and shared our data and hence US, namely FBI... CIA.. are able to access Malaysia data, our MyKad.. passports..
Suffice to say that the US borders would know who are the people will enter US today and if they found anyone suspicious, even before he or she boarding the flight or cruise or any method of transportation to US, the airlines or transportation company would be contacted to deny the boarding of the suspect.
The low rejection rate is one of the reasons why Malaysia is/was (?) on the roadmap towards the inclusion into the Visa Waiver Program. USA and Malaysia even signed a few security agreements towards this. But then Trump happened.

The Skytrax awards is good to knock some sense into MAHB. Otherwise you see them all over the airport and social media banging their chest like King Kong declaring how good they are in managing the airports in Malaysia
