chaity, you are very observant. detailed analysis. hahaha.4th day of raya, i was standing at the stall (outside perimeter) waiting for AK's engine start up. and this mak cik was wondering why i stood there staring at the aircraft for so long......
then while clearing the table, she asked me "dok pernoh tengok kapa?" (pieter! you haven't seen an aircraft before??)
then i said "dok pernoh" (pieter! never. this is my first time!)
then she started to be smart and said "hok tu "er asiya" tujoh pak tujoh (pieter! that one is air asia seven four seven)
hahahahahahahahaha.... terrer giler mak cik tu!!!!!! tujoh pak tujoh!!! Apelah azahan kelentong mak cik tu....
BTW, that 'mat rempit' shot... really good one... I think that boy is on a 'high'
I think not long from now, the Tengku (Azahan & Khairul) family will be having a kenduri (wedding) soon... (hopefully laa)
Maybe MalaysianWings wedding of the year!!!
Tak sabar nak makan nasi minyak... oppps, may be try something different... why not a kenduri with DUBAI BERIYANI!!!...
Also maybe get a B777 (the Freedom of Space-lah) to do a fly past over the kenduri. If this doesn't materialise, well the simmers here could do the fly past as an alternative...

Agree with you Norman. May I add a bit more : "Get a DSLR + Canon 'L' teleglass / Sigma 'EX' Telephoto lens"
Gavin,
What bus is that, Aeroliner? Transtar?
I know of some Raffle Class frequent flyer passengers preferring these Aeroliner bus over SQ when coming over to KL city. These buses do give the airlines some competition. Although not recomended during festive season where the 3 hour 30 minutes SIN-KUL on PLUS highway becomes 6 hours where 2 hour itself is getting stuck in the highway near Seremban!

Wouldn't be fair to AK right? They've tried in vain for some time to get landing rights to SIN with no success.
[i might be wrong here, please correct me if I was]

Fuuyyooo.... great man....
Love the all the shots, especially the MASKargo shot.
How is the observation hill at midnight?
So Azahan, was it sahur at KLIA?

LATEST AS OF FRIDAY 28TH OCTJust received another re-scheduling
Aircraft will arrive at 0700hrs on the 10th of Nov 2005
Will be landing on the active runway on that day (to be confirmed)
Aircraft will taxi to MAS Hangar for decorative works
(Azahan your turf here.... )
Then will proceed to Bunga Raya Apron to greet the VVIP
at about 1130 as schedule....
My opinion.... what a setback for everyone
The GRAND DADDY of Airline just TAXI for the welcoming
LANDING at DAWN which hardly you can see
.... unless you use super-duper flashguns
which I doubt will be allowed since can blinded the poor Pilots
Can somebody check the sunrise on the 10th???
Looks like have to crank up the ISO to 1600 then apply NoiseNinja!
BTW, I think by 0700hrs already enough light. Now dawn/'Subuh' is quite early (also mean 'sahur' must finish earlier, for those fasting).

I want a 'doraemon' or a 'crayon shin chan' livery!
-
Waw Jonathon, cantik gilerrr... sunset shot. Congrats.

Is this all the reason why sometimes airliners get lost in KLIA. I remember a Lufhansa A340600 got confused once. And also a Saudia B747 ditched into a 'longkang' once.

EK want make money ahh?EK better off to fly DXB-KUL-PER than ADL imo.
They wanted to start second daily service into PER this month, but alas, they have constraints with their present fleet. I suggest an A332 service between KUL and PER would be great and kill 2 birds with one stone
Liam, What you thinking about this?
I want a direct flight from PEN to PER. Maybe an EK DBX-PEN-PER on their A332. P
Imran, pergilah pujuk your father's boss to fly to PEN!

Wow....
Really great pictures. Love the Fiji B747.
The colours of your pictures are great. For once I thought you're using Fuji Velvia slide film. Hmmm... this Dark Side very strong!
Excellent panning shots also. Sigma OS must be doing a great job too.

I think the whole point is safety. Maybe some people 'up there' are afraid that amongst the many long telezoom lens are hidden some bazooka/stinger missile/sniper gun or whatever. If this is true, then this is unjustified fear.
I think someone should go talk to the people 'up there' and inform that the spotters are actually contributing to KLIA safety. We all loves aircraft, we all want everything to be safe. We are all on the good guy side.
Heck, if they can't really trust us, then just send some security officers to observe us observing the A380-lah.
Maybe some simplistic view from me. Sorry if i hurt anyone feelings. But glad to know there are people symphatetic to us.

Only the Migs came back to Subang after the fly past. The rest flew straight back to their base...
Migs departed Subang around 14:00 someting.
Hope next year the SU-30 "will" be around
Nice pics of TUDM fighters TK.
Some Su30 might arrive by 2006. They will be based in a newly refurbished base in Northern Terengganu. Then we can spot together while enjoying keropok lekor+budu!!!

I'm in Terengganu for 2 weeks now. Working, relaxing with family (just got my first child, a baby girl), snorkelling in Perhentian, attending kenduris, and doing A LOT of photography of the natural beauty of Terengganu and Kelantan.
Was at TGG yesterday afternoon. There was a RMAF C130 Hercules parked at the apron. A private aircraft had just took off from TGG also.
But sorry, no photos this time.
This Saturday, going for 2 weeks trip to Sarawak and Sabah. 11 flights all together on B737, F50 and Twin Otter.

I would like to know,
How many hours is the MH flight from KUL to Johanesberg or Cape Town?
Thanks.
-
Maybe a bit off topic. Here are FA18D from RMAF Butterworth which I took in July 2005. They are the same aircraft on landing approach.
Canon EOS30 with EF 75-300mm lens. Fujifilm Superia 200. Aperture were at F11 but shutter speed not recorded.
