    I was wondering if there would be an anjung tinjau in the new terminal too. Haven't seen any mention of it so far.

     

    The old A & W outlet on the first floor of the old terminal before its previous renovation was always a good spot. Pity that disappeared.

    A surprising morning at PEN today!

     

    I arrived just before 8am to see if I could get Perdana 2. Thanks for the heads-up MIR. That came down the approach just before 8.15am with the sun only just appearing.

    It departed, on Rwy 22, around 9.37am.

     

    About 15 minutes later. this little Thai registered ultra-light came in.

    Interesting 45 Minutes!

     

    As I was working on the computer around 12.25pm today, I heard a helicopter passing overhead Batu Ferringhi. When I checked out of the window, I saw what looked very much like a CH53 heading NW towards Langkawi.

     

    Anyone got info on that?

    Hello all,

     

    Thanks to a contributor on a UK site I use I was pointed in the direction of this forum and the photos that KS had posted of our arrival in the Thomas Cook A330 on the 29th... anyway, I thought I would post some of the shots I took after we landed.

     

    Only had my small point-and-shoot, but managed to snatch a few shots... flew home with Air Asia in an A340 on their very comfy Premier seats, but got no pics at KL as the weather was hideous!!!!

    Thanks for sharing the A330 picture: MTD seems to be very dirty already (like AirFrance)...

    Considering that MTD was only delivered in July this year, I thought it was dirty as well.

     

    Raymund, You are welcome. I would like to know why this aircraft came into PEN though.

    Raymund, I have just checked flight24.com for the listings of MAS flights on which this aircraft operated.

     

    From that listing, it seems that MTD was operating MH136, Adelaide to KL on the day (15.11.11) I took that photo.

     

    Does anyone know if there were there problems at KL that meant this aircraft had to divert to PEN?

     

    BTW, it's the first time that I have seen any aircraft wearing the new colours arrive at PEN.

    Was not expecting to see the A330 wearing the new colours scheme which arrived just before 4pm. Light was not good at all either so had to increase the ISO speed to get a reasonable shot. I am still not sure about the new MAS colour scheme. Maybe it will grow on me.
