The weather is pretty scary for sometimes. Sometimes it's hazy too.It is too bad that I planned to go spotting tmr (this sunday), but.....the typhoon near Taiwan made HK now is in the "idle air area", haze with me again.

Afternoon arrivals no good for terminal spotting, esp when they use 25 (i think its 25), all backlit. Morning would be fantastic though. When we departed, I counted no less than 5 silver bullets, 1 EK cargo, 1 Asiana cargo on the cargo ramp.. DROOL.
Rwy 25 spotting from terminal departs on which month you are in. Mid of summer the sunset will go a bit northwest but near to autumn, the sunset goes a bit southwest, so it really depends.
HKG's cargo ramp always parks will lots of freighters, I don't know why, by the way.

btw: on 04jul08 one Oasis has been moved from the compass-bay to the maintenance area - two others still there...will it be leased-out or sold ? What happened to the Ocean 747 ?Oasis' license has already terminated by Civil Aviation Dept. (Hong Kong) last month during my stay in Malaysia.
Sold or lease, I am not sure, but obviously, it is hard to see the sixth HK based commercial Jet Airline.
Ocean? Where you see them?

Sneeze, you mean this pic was taken in 2005? This livery has gone? This aircraft model is highly sought by collectors, i'm lucky to have 1
No i mean the 20th Anniversary of Dragonair was in 2005; shot was taken on 1 Jul, 2008
I have one such model too.

Sneeze, how many Dragon Air aircraft wearing this livery? Thanks for the pics
Only this, as this was painted for the company 20th anniversary, which was in 2005, not now.

After nearly a month's rainy day, I finally can go heading to HKIA after knocking down my lazy (no wonder, I am Piggy Sneeze, sleep is always first priority )
I don't know what have happened to my lens/ camera or even myself, I can't get nice focus on aircrafts with size about B737/A320. Anyway, at the moment I would like to make this topic live again, with the sharing of the below lovely freighter.
Hope more photos of today, the anniversary of HONG KONG as a part of China, will be posted here.
See ya.

For the moment yes. From mid July until end Aug, will be working in Shenzhen. Let me know when your expected arrival time. More traffic as of July 4 because of China-Taiwan direct flights.Likely to be happened around Sep/ Oct, have to arrange and notice you once come solid.

Simply feel how happy and full of fun for sure that you guy have had. No regret to join the party as I mentioned earlier.
Sorry for my absent, instead of a pre-celebration in PEN, this year. Promised to mark my 2009 calendar for the week of MW's 4th Anniversary.
P.S.: Denny, are you still in TPE? I may come within 2008.

Guys, please emotion Derek to save for goodies, but please help not to poison him, thanks, :clapping:
My opinion to Derek is.....always consider an EF rather than a EF-S. Cause no one know when you will change to a full frame. And I think either 70-300 (w/o IS) or 75-300 is nice, any objection ?
70-300 is sharp enough somehow regarding $$$
P.S. Can admin merge this topic to the VHHH spotting one?
