  1. Im not a lawyer but I cant see where the CEO referred to other aircraft in MHs fleet as tin can.

Based on my non-legal, lay-persons mind, the CEO was probably implying that most charters for hajj and umrah are tin cans. And MH can offer a better experience.

how i read it is that he implied other planes than the A380 are tin cans

  2. It was a joke. Lighten up.

Let's get back on topic shall we?

I'm far more curious to know how Khalil got on with his threats with MH - with the MAVCOM complaints and lawsuit threats, and if any outcome was obtained or remedies were given, rather than arguing about grammar and spelling.

I'm clearly a victim as well, and naturally, as a lawyer, he'd know that when a predecent is set, it paves the way for others to follow suit (pun somewhat intended). I'd like to take the same course of action, but being a layman I'd never have the kind of success you might have - so any pointers on how to bring MH to its' knees like you have would be most gratefully appreciated.

Pointing out that you were wrong to mock others for wanting to stay on topic doesn't make one lazy, nor does it necessitate the senseless name-calling you seem to be so fond of doing. As far as I'm concerned, the discussion of typos in the entertainment system is very much relevant to the topic, and I certainly hope the discussion stays that way with more dignified responses.

I dont understand your incessant need in resorting to personal attacks when someone disagrees with you or even begs to differ, as I have.

I truly am shocked that a lawyer doesnt know the difference between vocabulary and grammar. Its funny that you personally attack me as being lazy when in fact, you wont even google the phrase keyboard warrior for yourself. Your reply was hypocrisy at its best; you are the epitome of a lazy, keyboard warrior, and possibly even more, in my humble opinion of course.

But what would I know right? Im not a doctor or a pilot, and certainly not a lawyer.

Oh, and getting back on topic, how did you deduce btw that these MH social media staff were unsalaried? Im genuinely curious how you know this.

The singling out wouldnt happen if personal attacks didnt happen in the first place.

    STICK TO THE TOPIC

  3. Inappropriate usage of grammar, spelling, vocabulary and/or punctuation et al in MH's A350 promotional video certainly counts as sticking to the topic, for me at least.

Btw, you might've used the phrase "keyboard warrior" incorrectly.

well quick to point out that while not knowing what you were stating about, if only you werent that lazy to check out replies history

anyway i dont want to waste my time on lazy ppl, just find out urself

grammatically incorrect? i know and dont care, no one here is paying me for tht anyway

    excited to see reactions...LOL

  4.

Still not an excuse to be so relaxed with the language.

I should have added -

I believe there is a glitch somewhere in the software, I've had punctuation marks gone missing from some of my replies recently too :)

and these people were the ones who reminded ppl to stick to the topic..go figure, glad to see MH had some unofficial unsalaried keyboard warriors though

  5. I recently stumbled upon some interesting replies via MAS' official FB page to some of the questions in the comments section.

    Extract of an example below:

Facebook user A: Looks nice malaysia airlines! But i’m still waiting for a refound(plane ticket invoiced 3times) since 2years! Do something!

MAS: Hello, Brieuc. This is not sounds good. Would you mind to share your case reference number, through private message for our further follow up and advise? Looking forward to hear from you.

    :help: Quite embarrassing tbh.

dont think they care, even after 3 new CEOs they still couldnt get the basics right

  6.

" Interestingly, everyone he meets these days says “we are here to support you”. While he finds solace in their words, he has told them to stop saying that. “Instead, go back to your unit and do something. I have set the direction and strategy, work on it as we have to deliver results.”

These are strong words coming from a soft-spoken man, but he is not mincing his words. “I am watching you, I am referring to the non-performers, and in 100 days if you get a letter from me, that means you are not helping MAS deliver on its promise. If you cannot be part of the team, then you will have to leave,” he says. "

Well, politics role played here. Hope he can perform well.

ironically this came from someone whose been forever in MH, supposedly he should know by now those "non-performers" and still want to give them 100 days to reform?

  7. yes, lets move on, ive stated my case, lets see what other so called " matured thinking people" will do. and not only i have a legal background but i am a lawyer so my thinking may differ from layman, just saying.

anyway i love the A350, had a brief but nice experience during my recent PEN trip and pax will definitely love the quietness of the cabin of this plane.cheers

  8. What are you inferring ? You fight like hell - and now when someone agrees with you you bring children into the equation ?

Just so you know ya ... the so called people who didnt suffer your misfortune ... we are in the same boat. I have flown the bloody plane twice. And have another 3 more to go. All booked in good money revenue J. All moved back. I dont want to speak for others above individually - but in total I counted 17 segments across these so called people being sarcastic to you.

So again. What are you inferring?. We are together arent we ?

why should you care what im inferring and why should you be sensitive if you had done nothing wrong and portrayed good and exemplary attitude which you can pass down to your good mannered children?? get it together woman all ppl could see you were trying to undermine my last statement about being able to secure the F seat, if you are not concerned about being relocated to other seats that's your choice why should you impose that on others and try to be sarcastic? and when people gave it back to you you couldnt take it???

JUST SO YOU KNOW, my problem with all these fiascos is not about not getting the F seat but its about how MH handled this issue, instead of giving us direct honest answer they gave me (and all those affected) twisted adulterated reasons for the change.

I was finally given an honest explanation during check in by the supervisor that there has been some system problem and F cabin is basically blocked off from pax, maybe they dont want to give written explanation on this which may implicate them, who knows but i dont care as long as i got an honest answer from the service provider.

Got to share my own video of my short trip with the A350 - sorry for the plug :pardon:

    My takeaways:

    - That Y+(?) section is small, but i can see people wanting to pay for it

    - I like the fabric used on the seats

    - The Android-based IFE is usable. But silly there is no tail-mounted camera.

    - Huge windows are huge. My forehead rests on the window itself when I lean on it, rather than the bulkhead on other planes.

    - The best thing about the plane - it is very quiet. Similar decibel levels i think to an a380, and just a tad quieter than the 787. I flew with an a320 back and oh man, the sounds in the cabin sungguh meriah (from the hydraulic pumps and whatnot)

agree that the plane is super quiet, i was even seated next to the engine and could still speak to my seat partner at normal speaking volume, centre luggage bin is not fitted in J class which made the cabin looks roomier, overall i like TG's cabin fitting more with their wood furnishing giving them a touch of luxury, none of those in MH's A350

passed by F seats during deboarding and the cabin and the seats looked cramped, not sure if they really can sell these seats with others offering better J products....

and the refurbished lounge, no layout change but more on the fittings and furnishings which i believe are consistent in theme and designs with that of the refurbished regional lounge. lounge attendants were attentive and helpful and the foods and drinks, though not extensive were all flavourful and of good qualities.

  9.

Oh no! This is nothing short of MISREPRESENTATION that warrants a complaint to Mavcom! And don't forget to complain to your MP as well!

But ultimately I didn't pay for your ticket, so I don't have the right to tell you what to do....

I would rather believe in the power of social media !

examples of some people being sarcastic at other people's misfortunes, im sure you feel proud of yourselves and you can pass that attitude to your children i supposed..your time will come, dont worry.... -_-

and yes i got my original seat in J cabin but then again this is MH, thus service consistency is not their forte i believe, just take my business elsewhere

  10. what is there to upgrade when technically there's no F class to be upgraded to at the first place..duhh

on a sidenote the flight has been retimed to 11.05 am instead of 11.55am

    ok, move on.....

  11. Let me guess... you think this doesnt affect anyone other than you here .. hence thats why you think theyre making selfish comments against you, and their opinions would be different if they had a horse in the race ?

well in case u didnt realize i wasnt the first person who brought this up or the only person who's upset about this issue, thus im stating in general about all the replies by the naysayers here, what are you trying to infer anyway?? that just because all the others didnt make much noise so i should follow suit?? that's why i say when you were not affected you can say anything that u like against it once it hit home your reaction maybe worse than mine even..who knows

Ironically, all my TGed experience has always been reverse-TG and end up with better equipment. Once or twice, when ending up in a last-minute 3-class plane change - a nice word with the crew ends up with a nicer F seat whilst travelling in J.

and TG's exemplary service and wonderful catering would make up for it anyway....

  12. Aiya you pay business class ticket you want to seat on First Class. Is MH the prerogative lah. I used to fly First on MH and was told I am the only passenger and it pissed me off to see someone in the cabin being upgraded because of a friend of the captain and I paid full fare price. You guys complain non stop want everything given on a silver platter.

Not sure why people are acting as if MH committed an atrocity. Booking a J ticket and expecting an F seat when it was never marketed as such is not bad behavior on MH's part.

The only hoo-ha I'm aware of is in this forum, not among the frequent flyers I know. And mind you, there's at least a dozen bookings between the few us that were affected by this change. We know that MH has a track record of closing the F cabin when it's a 2-class flight, so it's not unprecedented. And we know that waving your Enrich Plat/OWE card isn't going to make them change their minds.

We get that these things happen, and MH is far from being the only offender. Frankly, we've been through worse, especially with airlines like CX which can swap your 77H to a dreadful 773Z with absolutely zero notice. And no, we don't complain to Mavcom or our MPs every time that happens. We pick up the pieces and move on, because we know which battles aren't worth fighting.

both of you were missing the point here, there's no F class on that flight, those seats had been misrepresented as J class seats when they were opened for booking previously, it's a simple thing to understand and becomes an issue when all of those unsatisfied with the seats reallocation had paid for the ticket with the only intention of trying out that F seats

and if you've seen all the replies that we got from MH they didnt even mention about their rights to do so under the COC instead they gave us contradictory reasons for the same OTHER THAN stating that they have acted pursuant to the COC

and just because it didnt happen to you you dont nee to make selfish remarks like "pick up the pieces and move on", nothing wrong with exercising our rights as consumers especially when we had spent good money on something

  13. While this article is about the A380s, what is being mentioned there is the same explanation I received from the Customer Service Representative when asked about the shifting of my seats from row 1 (First class) to the other rows on the A350's booking during the regional trials.

Enrich Plats were kicked out of row 1 as well, and those seats are still greyed out. Not sure if they'll be opened during OLCI or at the airport. Or maybe they won't be opened up at all..

ok sorry in advance if anyone feels im deviating from the main topic but just to share the latest "fairytale" reply received from MH...

We are back as promised, xxxxxxxx. We regret that you are unable to secure your preferred seats for flight MH1140 from Kuala Lumpur to Penang on ..........December 2017. Based on our check, your aircraft had been changed to A350 and you had been assigned to seat 10K and 10J which is the next best seat available for this flight. We hope this clarifies and apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced. Thank you. -AC

i cant stand the nonsense and didnt bother to reply anymore and after looking at few pics of the F seats as well as the videos of the inaugural flight i believe MH can keep those seats in pristine untouched conditions till they fly to LHR, which i believe is their real intention of keeping our dirty backsides away from those seats, id rather fly QR Q suite anytime over those F seats of MH anyway............

  14. Did MH explicitly state anywhere pre-purchase something along the lines of "Pay J fare get F seat on our brand new A350 on our regional flights"? I don't think so.

Or is your booking just based on an assumption on the back of availability of the F seats for sale?

If I were you I would be happy to get a J seat on the 359 rather than the flight being downgauged to the 738, or worse, the -FF or -ML series 738!

they didnt say those seats were not available as well when we booked the ticket somemore confirmed the booking, so your presumption versus my confirmed booking which one do you think should take precedent??

Can we return this thread to discussion about A350 proving flight rather than customer service experience?

Clearly you have complained on their Facebook and emailed them. None of us have the power to resolve your issues.

sure, we never changed the topic and matters being discussed here are actually related to the proving flight, it's good to share our experience though so that people are aware and in case those F seats "magically" appear to be available again the public are aware of the risk..just saying
