  1. There are a few problems with your observation here my friend:

As for the other points, they do help MH maintain the service level the passenger expect more or less, but the main issue is the older aircraft's seats and IFE options and they should invest in new ones, perhaps something more revolutionary this time, if they intend to keep them for a while longer. Also if you have flipped through international publications such as Time, Newsweek, National Geographic, RD etc. you will notice TG and SQ tend to put their advertisement there. Lack of brand awareness among premium passengers will remain a major hindrance to MH, no matter what hardware they put in their aircraft.

totally agree with you on this.. the major obvious problem is that they are trying to excel as a local player or "jaguh kampung" rather than world-class player and compete with the likes of SQ & TG....anyway they failed in both........

  2. Its interesting and good too see different facts and opinions. Now had you been a passenger on the QF A380 which had an explosion in the engine, would you say the A380 is unsafe?

being on newly introduced type of plane will make some feel insecure as well as there'll be no proven safety record of this type until it's put into actual service for sometimes.

Remember the DC-10 with problem and crashes in its earlier days due to its design flaws.

  3. Plane old or not will still skid and have scary landings.....also old a/c can have very nice cabins seats trays etc if the company wants to refurbish them, thus again cabin interior has nothing to do with new or old a/c. The only problem I see with old a/c is maybe higher fuel consumption.....cheers

and another incident after that involving 737 tyre blown up in KLIA...one remote incident can be called a COincidence..but if few incidences within short period of time would raise concern especially frequent flyers.........in anyway the question is personal so my answer is personal and doesnt reflect others opinion......

  4. If you don't feel safe, don't fly. Simple!

If you think newer planes are safer, go for it. Simple!

We have options now, if you don't like the white blue red, go for the white red, or even orange white. Simple!

i want the frills but i dont feel safe flying in an aircraft with broken tray tables/arm rest/creaking sounds here and there...so how? They have to expedite the fleet renewal.

  5. thanks..i managed to capture a video after we left the plane..not really clear as i used my BB

the flight left KLIA 40 minutes late from its actual departure time...im not putting the blame on the pilot but the weather was really bad when we landed..im not sure if a go-around would be a better option...

  6. i was seated at 26A..it was the most horrifying experience of my life...during landing it could be felt that the plane swayed left and right as sudden gust of wind hit the airport area..it was made worst when landing heavy downpour and heavy wind push the plane to the right..i could actually see the wing tilted upward before i bent down foreseeing the plane to turn turtle...then a loud bang and it came to a halt...everything which was not secured on the seats were thrown out..we waited for almost an hour before we were allowed to leave the plane right in the middle of the runway..as Senai doesnt have bus passengers were transferred in groups by van..once we were out of the plane only we realized that the right wheel broke as it skidded on the grass and the pilot managed to maneuver it back on the runway

  7. The August's edition of Going Places is a must have as it will always have special article on MH's history since its very first beginning, the accolades and achievements of the airline throughout those years and also significant events which have shaped up the airline to what it is today....
