  1. Why is it ok for lawyers to charge consultation fee and not travel agents?

Yes, one can choose to do it online but when it comes to problems, sorry, you're out of luck and you're on your own.

Regarding to corporate clients. Because 95% the time only travel agencies has access to these contracts with the airlines directory, corporate clients at the end will still go back to travel agencies for help. Plus, although corporate companies do concern on the extra cost, but based on the mutual relationship between corporate clients and travel agencies, the consultation fee is hardly an obstacle affecting the 2.

  2. Besides he 3 weekly services to JED (as compared to SV's 8 weekly to JED / RUH-JED), MH has increase the frequency to Saudi thorugh DMM (via DXB) and RUH.

While SV flights is always full to the brim with umra passengers, can MH do the same with the flight to both RUH/DMM while the domestic RUH/DMM-JED/MED is by SV's domestic. Is it legal for umra passengers to clear immigration other than at JED/MED?

3 weekly MH to JED as compared to EK's 12 weekly DXB-JED on 380!

MH postponed RUH launch till June 2011.

  3. Emirates planning KUL to get increase from 21 weekly to 25 weekly.

BKK will get second daily A380.

I guess frequency is much more important than capacity for KUL, eh? Otherwise we would have seen an A380 a long time ago.

As I stated in the blog post, changes are initial, and not 100% confirmed. the word "Will" is likely to mislead people.

  4. Is this an upgrade or downgrade in capacity?

Last time I flew Syd-Sin in May, there were less than 10 people in C class, and the chief steward told me that there were only 19 passengers in Y! It was the late afternoon flight arriving in SIN at midnight on the 77W.

Those 777-200 with the new C seats are not bad. Much better for day flights than the 380 C seats.

Overall capacity is increased by roughly 100-130 per week.

Air Asia X from 01DEC10 begins 2 weekly Kuala Lumpur - Tehran service, flight is now bookable on the website but doesn't seem to have any promo fare for the time being.

    D72904 KUL1610 – 2040IKA EQV 13

    D72905 IKA2155 – 1055+1KUL EQV 13

Air Asia website didn't specify the operating aircraft, hence I'm using EQV to indicate either A330 or A340 could be operating

  6. For SQ to park two A380 overnight at SYD means SQ is more concern with pax connection at SIN than airport parking charges, and yield is more than sufficient to compensate A380 idling for over 15 hours.

If MH didn’t deferred A380 delivery, these demands could be absorbed by MH :pardon:

Also, with 2 Daily 380 and 2 Daily 777-200ER operating, this marks the end of FIRST Class to Sydney.

According to A380 SYD schedule, there are no overnight at SYD.

  7. Strange arrangement, but didnt MH also planned for KUL-HND?

MH decided to do BKI HND instead

Hmm,BKI-HND using B738;How about ICN? Since BKI is a gateway for East Asians (Koreans and Japanese).

BKI-ICN is being assigned with 737-800 as well.

Also, several planned changes for winter 2010 changes is noted in the link below. It is now appearing in the timetable listing in the reservation system, but the availability/inventory display isn't for now, but should be updated in the coming weeks

  8. Sensational news leaked by the MH Rumour Department this morning!

MH terminates 3 weekly KUL-CGK-MEL vv!!! KUL-MEL vv back to 14 weekly. The previous slot of flight MH 147 KUL-CGK vv will be replaced by flight MH 727, a B734.

MH is feeling the heat with D7's double daily service and EK's daily service on the route.

It's already confirmed, no longer a rumor.

  9. Booking is currently until the end of the winter schedule for the KUL/MEL/KUL. Booking for the summer schedule has yet to be loaded into the system as they are still waiting for the relevant regulatory approval.Once received, booking will be opened online. You might be able to make a booking first at their office. I was also told that to wait a few days more as a very special introduction fare will be on sale to launch the new route!

KUL MEL is NOW AVAILABLE TO BOOK including 2010 Summer (beyond 28MAR10), but sale fare is not loaded in the system. Right now the "cheapest" for instance 10JUN10 - 20JUN10 is MYR12091 + tax (in Business).

Just because you can't book it on Emirates website it doesn't mean it doesn't exist or not loaded into the system.
