  1. It has reported on Airliner Route Update that melbourne will loose its SQ A380 service from January 2012. Not sure why, or for how long.

    Also another query...

If I do a 'dummy' booking for both ADL-KUL-ADL and MEL-KUL-MEL it is showing B772's from November 1st onwards. From September 27th until Ocotber 29th it is showing A333's for both these sectors. does this mean the A333's will only last a month or Mh have not updated the booking system from beyond this point. Just a query that is intriging to me, I would hate for the A333's to last a month in Adelaide.

Looks like MH changed it again over the weekend, that's why you're seeing ADL/MEL/PER operating with 772 and DEL 330 (old A330-300) from 30OCT11.

  2. Interesting development here... especially the replacement of one of MH's LHR service with 777s. Are any 747s going away soon?

Also seems the aftermath on Japan's tourism demand still lingers.

Another thing: when the article mentions 333, are they going to be exclusively operated by new ones or a mix of old and new?

    330 is old A330-300

    333 is new A330-300

Also the 333 will continue to operate KUL PVG MH386/387 (Initial edit on the post I did apparently didn't went through)

  3. Unfortunately, it is still relatively far away in Feb 2012...and this is still end Jul-11. By that time, EK will probably do a marketing blitz of its A380 services and the novelty of that aircraft + lower average fares will trump any new-ish MH 330 services to DXB. But, I guess better late than never. The MH 332s have acres of real estate in business class but maintenance and cabin upkeep are poor, representing its "orphan" status in the MH fleet. And the old 333s...one basically time-travels inside the cabin - one could almost find an issue of "Wings of Gold" inside the seat pocket.

Planned New A330-300 operational destinations has changed, which will now be:

    BNE, PVG, MEL, ADL

  4. So from threat of suspension, there is now this upgrade (capacity wise at least) from 738 to 333

    Wonder what happened ?

Is the codeshare on MH's metal maintained ?

KE in S10 operated 738 on ICN BKI, and switched to 333 in W10/11 (Which then converted to seasonal service in 2011).

W11/12 season is currently showing 333 but it's a default schedule (KE simply loads what was in W10 for W11). Nothing is set in stone yet until they start changing their W11/12 schedule probably around late-August.

  5. Just a quick follow-up on KE's operations:

ICN-BKI for Northern Winter 2011 has now been loaded into the system. The schedule is as follows:

    KE 673 ICN 1820 BKI 2250 A333 D-2---6- CY

    KE 674 BKI 0020 ICN 0620 A333 D--3---7 CY

This schedule ensures fast same day connections on KE flights to Japan, China and some USA destinations via ICN.

ICN BKI Winter 2011/12 schedule has been loaded in the system for months. Old news.

  6. First daily with one stop at BKK via 777 then 4 to 5 times weekly non stop via 330.

KUL service is scheduled to operate until 29OCT11. After 30OCT11 is once again CANCELLED even though schedule listing is still there (but not available for reservation because there's no such flight when trying to make a booking).

Also, please copy the link as well if you're going to copy entire article.

  7. Thanks for your input guys, but what I'm really after is a simple digital list that I can turn into a spreadsheet. I know I can extract the info manually from the websites, etc., but I was hoping there might be an easier way!

Fingers crossed someone might have something I can use.

    Steve

There is no easy way, only start from scratch. Plus AK/D7 is changing flight numbers from 30OCT11, makes it even more time consuming, IF you're willing to invest your time in it. http://airlineroute.net/2011/05/05/akd7-w11-fltnbr/

  8. I am not sure. I did some searches just now, Air Niugini is not listed on the route. Could be without traffic rights.

Air Niugini currently operates NONSTOP service each on POM - HKG (2 weekly) and POM - MNL (3 weekly). Both with Boeing 767.

While AF discontinued the BKK-SGN v.v. and BKK-HAN v.v. sectors (now flying non-stop to/from CDG), QR has stepped-in and opened above sectors with 77W equipment !

In other words, no more non-stop DOH-SGN and DOH-HAN v.v. flights anymore, and, now offering flights to Vietnam ex BKK...

QR starting 22MAY11 is operating DOH BKK SGN with Boeing 777-300ER 3 weekly, while the remaining 4 weekly DOH SGN continues with A330. QR will continue to operate DOH BKK HAN 4 weekly, with 777-300ER replace A330 starting 21MAY11.
