No Tanjungpinang (TNJ) ?
How I wish there are airlines plying SZB - TNJ or KUL - TNJ..
-
OMG! EMbraer! very very rare bird.. Great job TK for catching this
-
Its hard do believe this, as Our airforce intends to get only a handful of jets probably not more then 20 of them so why are they considering having the jets made here. Does not sound financially viable. If the plan is to have over 100+ jets in out fleet then it might be more realistic but opening a plant to just to make 20 jets?
The plant is not meant for only building the jets malaysia airforce requires.. they can be used to build jets for other buyers too~

Generally airlines don't type pilots on both Airbus and Boeing at the same time.
Oh.. so it means that they will have to hire both A320 and B737 pilots then? o.o?
-
Guys.. if its true that Malindo will be using some A320 from their recent massive orders.. how will that affect the pilots? Wouldn't their pilot needs type certification for both plane types?
-
I wonder if it's possible to walk from this new LCCT to the main terminal
it will take very very long I would imagine o.o

Should be 9M-MNE.
I think he got a typo.. K is very near to M

A great video by Airbus.. celebrating the 100th A380 delivered (which is to MH)

Awesome shots guys! Simply brilliant!

He said construction is over 80 per cent completed with the third runway already paved
Is the 3rd runway really fully paved?

Another thing is how to make sure others won't 'mistakenly' take your luggage on the baggage reclaim belt ? Does that happen, and is it common ?
It happened to me once in Senai Airport.. Me and my sis took an AK flight from KUL to JHB.. upon arrival we went to take our luggage.. we were there for like 1 hour + and no signs of our luggage.. except for 1 similar luggage which was not ours.. In the end we realized, somebody could've mistaken our luggage for theirs.. and left theirs there.. In the end, we have to ask for help (from AK ground staff) to identify the person who took our luggage and ask them to come back to the airport to switch the luggage with us.. When the family did come back and switch our luggage with theirs, they didn't even apologize for taking the wrong luggage, instead gave us a very "angry" look eventhough it wasn't our fault o.o? One wonders whether these people have morals or not~
Oh ya.. to be on the safe side.. Always use a luggage that's abnormal or uncommon.. (ie: bright coloured luggages, or weird designs/patterns, or maybe add stickers/ribbons/stuff on the bags) in order to prevent the chances of it being mistaken for other people's luggage~

They should pass a law that makes crossing the runway either by land or by air illegal......
Wild animal can be effectively controlled by having fences around the base. Metal thieves can be controlled by having armed sentries on patrol.
Birds are a little bit more difficult.
In KIX, they have these gunshots sound in the background every few seconds to scare off birds.. do you think they could implement this?
-
Maybe in the meantime someone saw your impression of them at reply #291 and decided not to take any further risk ?!!
Thats what we call.. great "quiet" observation of how potential customers/customers view their airline's website/operations/etc etc and quick response to it

WOW. Air strikes? I wonder which they use? F18 MIG 29??
It was F18 and Hawks..

It seems that the frequency is down to only 3 flights a day now ? Their air fare is much cheaper than FY though.
And any of you noticed it is actually cheaper to book FY flight on MAS website ? FY shows RM400+ on its own website for a return ticket to PEN from SZB while MAS is showing RM300+ (FY operated flights).
Hmm I just tried a dummy booking.. MH is quoting a much more higher pricing compared to FY's quoting though.. maybe its dependent on which route?

Wow.. then this would be a must have collection for the spotters and model collectors hahahaha

By the way.. I thought Malindo Airlines will be using 737-900ER and not -800s? So it would mean they will transfer this -800 to Lion Air once 900ERs are ready?
-
Thanks guys

Can I ask.. If anyone knows.. who pilots birds to their graveyards? The airline's pilot or manufacturer's pilot? I know in the case of delivery flights its done by the airline's pilot.. but what about these very last flight of the birds themselves?

They also misspelled unveils.. as enveils

I went to Google a little bit for this.. and there's 1 response from a Beijing native.. that gives his/her honest opinion on this behaviour in China..
Short excerpt:
As a Chinese living in Beijing, I should say I might have been seen this scenario several times a year. maybe more if I left the downtown to rural area. what I want to say here is why these could be "common".

Perhaps wanting to go one up on the kid who was caught dropping a chop on a train last year, a parent on board a passenger plane in China this month has been photographed allowing her child to squat down and defecate in the aisle of a plane full of (hopefully horrified) passengers.
