  1. What's more bizarre is this paragraph:

"MIDF Research aviation analyst Chua Boon Kian believes that Malindo

Air is likely to operate turboprops out of the Skypark Terminal as the

terminal is unable to support bigger jet operations and take off of

larger aircraft due to its short runway"

SZB used to cater to tonnes of widebodies when it was the main entry point to KL, a case of factual inaccuracy on the short runway.

Haha.. can't cater widebodies? Even KLM's 747s goes to SZB for maintenance.. stupid analysts -_-"

  2. Its hard do believe this, as Our airforce intends to get only a handful of jets probably not more then 20 of them so why are they considering having the jets made here. Does not sound financially viable. If the plan is to have over 100+ jets in out fleet then it might be more realistic but opening a plant to just to make 20 jets?

The plant is not meant for only building the jets malaysia airforce requires.. they can be used to build jets for other buyers too~

  3. Another thing is how to make sure others won't 'mistakenly' take your luggage on the baggage reclaim belt ? Does that happen, and is it common ?

It happened to me once in Senai Airport.. Me and my sis took an AK flight from KUL to JHB.. upon arrival we went to take our luggage.. we were there for like 1 hour + and no signs of our luggage.. except for 1 similar luggage which was not ours.. In the end we realized, somebody could've mistaken our luggage for theirs.. and left theirs there.. In the end, we have to ask for help (from AK ground staff) to identify the person who took our luggage and ask them to come back to the airport to switch the luggage with us.. When the family did come back and switch our luggage with theirs, they didn't even apologize for taking the wrong luggage, instead gave us a very "angry" look eventhough it wasn't our fault o.o? One wonders whether these people have morals or not~

Oh ya.. to be on the safe side.. Always use a luggage that's abnormal or uncommon.. (ie: bright coloured luggages, or weird designs/patterns, or maybe add stickers/ribbons/stuff on the bags) in order to prevent the chances of it being mistaken for other people's luggage~

  4. They should pass a law that makes crossing the runway either by land or by air illegal......

Wild animal can be effectively controlled by having fences around the base. Metal thieves can be controlled by having armed sentries on patrol.

Birds are a little bit more difficult.

In KIX, they have these gunshots sound in the background every few seconds to scare off birds.. do you think they could implement this?

  5. It seems that the frequency is down to only 3 flights a day now ? Their air fare is much cheaper than FY though.

And any of you noticed it is actually cheaper to book FY flight on MAS website ? FY shows RM400+ on its own website for a return ticket to PEN from SZB while MAS is showing RM300+ (FY operated flights).

Hmm I just tried a dummy booking.. MH is quoting a much more higher pricing compared to FY's quoting though.. maybe its dependent on which route?

  6. I went to Google a little bit for this.. and there's 1 response from a Beijing native.. that gives his/her honest opinion on this behaviour in China..

    Short excerpt:

As a Chinese living in Beijing, I should say I might have been seen this scenario several times a year. maybe more if I left the downtown to rural area. what I want to say here is why these could be "common".

You do have to clik sign in with facebook/twitter or if you dont want, just "close & read" button before you can actually see that person's honest answer :)

  7. Perhaps wanting to go one up on the kid who was caught dropping a chop on a train last year, a parent on board a passenger plane in China this month has been photographed allowing her child to squat down and defecate in the aisle of a plane full of (hopefully horrified) passengers.
