  1. MH advertised for ‘1 Malaysia’ on msm. Does it mean MH has become a gomen propaganda machine and more political incline?

    :drinks:

Haven't seen the ad but concept of 1Malaysia is actually a good one. It's fairly similar to Dr M's Bangsa Malaysia and DAP's Malaysian Malaysia. The problem is that it's not being embraced, if anything there is more anti 1Malaysia. If the police, judiciary, other gov institutions and even private sectors fully embrace 1Malaysia, then Malaysia would be a better place.

  2. RMAF A/F-18D can be armed with AIM-9 Sidewinder, AIM-7 Sparrow and AGM-84 Harpoon.

Believe Thai F-16, RSAF F-16 and F-15 and RMAF A-4 are also not nuclear capable and no one is complaining. Why peace loving Malaysian wanted nuclear capability? To arm with Pakistani bomb?

    :drinks:

With no arming codes, can they still fire those missiles?

Anyway, the most lethal weapon is actually the people behind it. Talented commander and highly trained soldiers (this case pilots) will often win the battle despite a better equipped enemy.

  3. LOL ! Seriously ?

If you have enough disposable income and time..it's actually a good time to fly... everything's cheap. The saving you make from the heavily discounted fare easily offset any interest you earn from the bank.

  4. I this MH is taking the necessary step to prevent this situation from getting worst.....a friend of mine who is Leading steward of MH is given free injection...let's hope this situation will improve soon

Free injection? Is there a vaccine for H1N1 aka swine flu already? I thought they only have vaccine for pigs.

  5. my friend's super expensive johnnie walker swing whiskey was confiscated by some australian security officer last time. the bottle of whiskey was all new, still in a box and not yet opened. it didnt matter that the duty free shop also sell the same liquor just a meters away from the security check.

the officer took the bottle, put it under her table and said it was illegal to bring it in. hmm... wonder what did she do with the with the whiskey.. might have a big party.

  6. in kk, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to hotel as already been alluded to earlier in this post.

just have to know that promenade apartment and promenade hotel are two different thing. many people confuse the two.

promenade hotel is pretty high class but relatively cheaper compare to its peers in its category. it's nearby the coast and makan area.

  7. SUre , but seriously, how much does it cost in taxpayer's money to support this advisor, whether his salary, allowances or perks?

It is clear to all that MAS, if it is to be run as an almost pure commercial entity, has not such need for the so-called advisor. It is nothing more than legitimising a way for the government to channel some perks - but at taxpayer's expense.

For instance, to facilitate one's travel on a certain blue Gulfstream, one was appointed as an advisor to the company that leases the blue jet. So, I speculate that this is another way for one to travel for free on a certain airline's premium classes. Well, I hope that is on stand-by basis and no commercial customers will be denied travel.

If I'm not mistaken, Dr M claims that he doesnt get paid as advisor to petronas or maybe just get a pittance amount. If that's the case, maybe it's the same with Badawi.. but then again, i agree, MAS doesn't need Badawi as advisor.. it's a waste of money no matter the amount. that should be part of MAS cost cutting measure.. sack the advisor

  8. as advisor, he can give advice but no one necessarily has to follow them, just like Dr M as advisor to petronas. so unless he gives some enlightening advice (which im very doubtful of, may fall asleep in meetings), i doubt it will make any difference to MAS.

  9. The development in Sarawak makes little sense. It seems like most of the money goes into Mukah. The development is way out of proportion compare with the rest of the state, some need just basic roads.

Mukah sees rapid development over the recent years because it's Taib's area.

It doesn't need a new airport for 737. It's still a small town with Sibu nearby.

Actually the current airport is relatively new (at least the building). When they build the new terminal building, there were talks like the runway could be easily extended if needed.
