  1. Yea, ask them to change your flight to what suit you best.. 35 min transit is too short.

You are lucky they informed you early.. Still got until Feb.. Last time, in my case, they informed me only few days before flying, so ended up spending more money than I should with hotel and connecting flights..

  2. In retrospect, MAS should have just paid for the treatment.. Bandage and a few stitches probably won't cost much.. The way it is, MAS did eventually pay but still got complained.. that's how grateful some people are, though it's probably their silly mistake of simply putting the bottle in the overhead compartment..

Money gone and got complained in a national newspaper, really not worth it.. Better just to pay for them in the first place..

MAS should study this case and come up with a way to deal with similar cases in the future..

  3. I suspect if it's a faulty latch that opened by itself upon landing, the person would have mentioned it specifically, the "overhead compartment opened by itself!!".

But the way she wrote it seemed more like hiding some facts to make it looks like it's all MAS's fault.

Orang putih is very good with this kind of thing.. They withhold some facts and only tell partial truth to make them appear all innocent and others look bad..

  4. Direct debit did not incur convenience fee. I can confirm that because I paid the booking which was made yesterday via direct debit and no convenience fee was charged. :yahoo:

That another story for credit card, though :sorry:

Yup..confirm that.. maybe too many people complain about the daylight robbery of charging convenience fee to direct debit..

  5. Air Asia conveniently only reveals the extra fee just before you make the payment.. So the ticket price appears cheaper than what it is.. Guess other airlines also like that.. but I hate this kind of cheap tactics.

Now, Air Asia is often only marginally cheaper or more expensive than MAS.. This inconvenient fee won't help..

  6. Lady pilots or male pilots... who cares... as long as the individual can fly planes, that's all that matters. In this day and age, I guess we shouldn't classify them base on gender...Just call them pilot.

It's not like we are still in the 1960s or 70s.. It's time to move on..

  7. There were passengers onboard? Wow... That must be an experience....

Probably feel like tayar pancit..the plane being lopsided..

I think they should just write off the aircraft.. it's old and had had quite significant damage.. even if technically can be repaired, passengers may not feel confident to fly..

  8. I hope this does not signify end of unwritten privilege of hogging empty seat(s) next to one's assigned :)

Yea.. haha.. if this kind of trend continues, you will need to pay for anything.. supposedly to enhance in-flight experience.

Now chances are you can get empty seats beside you also if you fly long haul.. no need to pay anything..

When I flew from Narita to KL via KK.. the flight was less than 50% full, you get 5 seats for yourself with all their pillows and blankets.. You can eat their share of peanuts as well if desperate..

  9. Sometimes I'm horrified when I saw comments posted by MAS employees on facebook.. For some of their staff, it seems the only thing that matters to them is their bonus or something to their personal gain.

Wow.. their airline is making huge losses at operating level, yet they only have their self-interest in mind. With those kind of employees in MAS, so pampered, it will be hard for the airline to propel itself forward.

  10. Don't be suprised to see the B738's heading as far away as Perth, Taipei, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore etc etc

This aircraft will have a good capacity for boosting frequency to such places in tandem with existing widebody fleet ops.

    E.g. MH124/125 - KUL-PER vv Ops B772/A333 whilst MH126/127 - KUL-PER Ops B738 (and increase the latter to a daily flight)

Not to mention the chance of MAS utilising B738's out of CGK to destinations such as PER or ADL (although ADL might be stretching it).

I favour twice daily KL-Perth flights for better connectivity..

But if they are using B738s to Perth, hope they better make sure they have comfortable seats and good leg room. Otherwise customers will look elsewhere..

  11. MH will be leasing them from Penerbangan Malaysia - MH does not currently own its aircraft. This was due to the bailout some years ago.

Their coming 738 will be leased from Penerbangan Malaysia also? I thought last time MAS said they have to gradually pay for the planes up to delivery. They stated it was one of the reasons they made operating loss last quarter. If they lease it from PMB, why dont PMB pay for the planes and lease it to MAS...

  12. Oh.. I thought we will have MAS a380 by 2011.. so that's now uncertain..

For their wide bodies, they seem to be taking awhile in making up their mind. Thought some of their planes need to be replaced fairly urgently, like the current fleet of a330.. No PTV and sometimes the main screen doesn't work, feel so budget flying with those planes..
