  1. 1.  Qualiflyer.  This is an alliance seemingly spearheaded by loss-making and increasingly desperate Swissair.  Failing or perhaps unwilling to join one of the earlier alliances (perhaps due to nationalistic pride), it decided to assemble its own group of airline partners to form Qualiflyer.  Its mistake was to gather a similar bunch of airlines - all loss-making and desperate.  Hence you see Swissair with Sabena (now gone), Volare (now also gone), Air Liberte (now also gone), Crossair (bought over Swissair and eventually become what is now SWISS) . . .  in short, an "Alliance of Losers".  Such an alliance can only go one way - down.

    My...sounding like Suze Orman aintcha? laugh.gif laugh.gif

Perhaps MAS should consider a merger with AirAsia - with the final product having a quality international and regional network and an LCC component serving specific types of destinations that are suited to LCC operation.

That way, it remains a Malaysian solution to a problem.

If MAS, AK and Gov with the same views in their head.

  2. Just found that the Japanese remake of Saiyuki is a complete waste of time.  It detracks from the original (Chinese) version of the classical work.

Seems like Fuji TV has not research enough or have decided to Japanised their own version of Saiyuki (Journey to the West).

As one pointed out at another forum:

I watched the first episode and I didn't feel like watching it further either....... sad.gif

Let us know what you think for those who have watched it.

Japs has the tendancy to change the story from original version to their own. Another example of it is The Legend Of Condor Heroes. It pisses some of Jing Yong's fans off.

  6. Hmm...

Does anybody know why AFC was chosen to be the "M.U Aircraft" ?

Ive been researching for quite a while..and cant find anything substantial...just a few rumours...

    One even said this...

    "AFC = Airasia's Football Club"... laugh.gif

No it's AirAsia Football Cup for AFC

    LOL

  7. I guess some people got too pampered with the power they got. MAS really need to have someone (with a sharp mind like Tony Fernandez) capable to turn the company around.

Maybe Tony Fernandez can take another Director or CEO position in MAS and take control in Full Service business model. Can be a nice way to see Tony's capabilities.

  8. Cockpit-wise KLM has the following "divisions":

    744

    M11

    737 (can operate old-ng)

    330

    777

    (763) to move to 330...

so currently it's six and will become five...

cabin crew has been certified to operate 3 different type...

At KLC, there are two divisions cockpit: F70/100 and F50

for cabin: all crew can operate all 3 types...

    18115[/snapback]

Gosh I wanna be a cabin crew of F50. I'm bad at physic and such, so be cabin crew is the next best thing to be close to them for upmost satisfaction LOL. laugh.gif
