OoOoHhHh Lord~~~~ Ignatius....this is mesmerizing shot. So fierce, so powerful and a godly shot. *Praise*

Iggy, this pic give me an idea. Do you mind I photoshop it? I'll let u see it as soon as I done with it. I think you gonna love it. :)

You guys, I can't stop looking at the F50s~~~!!! *Drools* Even Pamela Anderson start pole dancing in front of me I also can ignore her. This thread almost give me heartattack. All of the sunset n sky view and the F50.... I'm speechless and stunned.

  2. First surprise was this all-white Fokker F50 PH-FZH of Denim operating for KLM cityhopper:

    IPB Image

Who says, KLM cityhopper has a small fleet ??? Here a view of about 50% parked at 1300 hours; how many planes do you count ?:

    IPB Image

Adrian, this one is for you: the 2nd KLM cityhopper F50 in the new-colours ;) Do you prefer the old- or new-colours ?

    IPB Image

Thanks Pieter for the F50 pics and dedication :)

For my oppinion, the new colors for the F50 is clean cut looking. I love it coz the livery gave the plane more clean look and also softens it. Look more like "For Her" F50. Clean engine nacelle and engine cone is absolutely a plus for browny points. ;-)

Me likey the old colors too, the one with thick black stripe from the nose until the tail. That livery translate fierce and rugged. Kinda feel like all out high density butch steel guy look but still retain the gentle, elegent and tame F50 lines and shape.

All white KLM/Denim is really interesting and reminds me of 9M-MGZ. Felt like wanna run to it and start crayoning. :p

KLM cityhopper group pics looks like chaotic KCH. haha.

  3. can a DHT land at airfield? i remember last time i heard somebody said DHT can land at grass land. is it?

Yup they can. That's why there are cases of DHT flights got canceled because to the airfield was too soft after heavy downpour. Especially in 90's where Long Pasia and such where only have grass runways instead on concrete one.

Even F50 can land on airstrip if it's long and hard enough. (Pieter told me before.)

  4. welcome... and now i know how i get this video already, actually this video is Adrian M uploaded in another M'sia base aviation forum, so i manage to download it... and share it to u guys... so the thanks should send to Adrian M instead of me. :)

I see you found me out at the "other" forum. I didn't wanna say anything coz it was post on the "other" forum. So just wanna keep peace. ^^v

  5. Dante,

Because of the delay of re-starting this production, there are now rumours, AF-Regional will "shift" their F70 and F100 fleet to KL-cityhopper effective 2007; Regional will, in that case, operate new E170/190 aircraft; it will boost KLC's Fokker-jet fleet from 39 to over 60 !!! (sigh, even more work for me :o )...

Looks like Fokker birds finally heading back home coutry after spending most of it's life at foreign land.

  6. Complete new RR engines.

Coincidence or not but today's article in "de Telegraaf" (http://www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/28098271/Herstart_Fokker_lijkt_dichtbij.html ) might give the Fokker (or Rekkof) fans new hope after a long period of silence from Rekkof. For me the only news in the artice is that KLM relplies to an interview from "omroep flevoland" (http://www.omroepflevoland.nl/NISwww.nsf/ItemOverzicht/1C1A160786BB5396C12570AD006DDBEC?OpenDocument) by saying they are still intrested in the new Fokker, but just don't want to be launching customer. Is there still a future for the Rekkof project without any firm orders?

Fokker Services is investigating the possibility/benefits to install winglets. This will give a considerable improvement in fuel consumption. More details are expected to be given on the next Operator Conference, later this month.

Fact remains the Fokker Jets might be aged but still offer a large cabin and a very well designed human-machine interface. Should the rumour that the Jets can be fitted with a next generation engine saving 30% fuel chances that Air France KLM might be interested will increase significantly. Presently there are about 70 Fokker Jets in the AF-KLM fleet and think about the costs related to introducing a complete new type to replace those 70 Jets. A next generation Fokker Jet (Rekkof or Stork build) would at least save enormous amounts of money on training. At present I have the privilage to fly the Fokker 70 and the Fokker 100 and I can say I enjoy every minute of it. So as far as the user point of view is concerned: I hope miracles still exist and that this fairytale might turn out to be a dream come true. Why should we have America as the only place on this planet where "it can happen"?

    Copied from Fokker.info forum.

  7. I guess 1st ERJ flight will attract lots of LHD people to the fence. hehe. But seems like ERJ is out of the competition, guess leaves ATR n Q400 to compete. If I'm not mistaken Q400 also have STOL capability.

Unless Rekkof are able to start and upgrade to a more modern tech, fuel economical, more pax, powerful engines and more farther F50, F70 and F100 Next Generation. Since the demand are high, they are converting F100 to F70 now from what I've heard. And research RR engines to fit into F100.

Unless Airbus willing to give a hand, which it's quite impossible.

  8. Choong,

good effort!! i didnt know the fokker 27 got short nose. damn cute... hehe. i think the small cargo door looks nicer than the big ones. good effort by the way. thanx.

    Adrian,

also good collection of available F50 configurations. isnt the F50 cargo know as F60? or is that different? the modified cockpit i dont think can count as different config because its not that different, just a few system items, probably customer preference...

Nope. It's originally F50 pax but been convert to a freighter with front cargo door.

  9. Hmm...so far I know theres 6 of them.

    F50 with F27 body n window. (F50 prototypes)

    F50 with 1 rear service door. (Ex-RBA)

    F50 with PW127B engines

    F50 normal version (PW125B)

F50 Freighter version (Converted from pax version with a large front cargo door! Eek!)

F50 Modifided Cockpit (Pelangi's) Dunno is this considered as one.

  10. Yes head on ;-) Based on F27-500. And also strengthens the new wings, new engines, relocated air-inlet, new dowty blades (Love'em 6 blades Mm-hmm), 2 tires nose gear, modifided vertical tail fin, tail points and main gear metal handle (the one near absorbers), square windows and of course drop down staircase on the front (my fav). Modern interiors. Hmm...thats about it that I can list out. :p

And a little thing near the vertical fin right after the rear door also different and I dunno what it's called.

F27 diversity even worst. But I hate the front cargo door. Ick..

  11. Adrian,

i've just check this out. the Fokker V8-RB2, which is now PK-RAL for Riau Airlines, is actually a special type of fokker. you familiar with this type? it has only one service door at the back, probably coz the dont have galley at back? if i'm not mistaken, the RBA fokker galley all in front right?

Yes I cetainly remember RBA F50 doesn't hv a rear door...and it's stated so in RBA timetable seatmap back in the days...I can scan it but I need to witch hunt for that old timetable. XD

Theres a couple of different versions of F50 out there. Particularly like this one. I seen last time on A.net and I stil remember the rego until now LOL.
