I thought that MAS were going to use the 738's for regional destinations like China, India etc???
will the 738's be painted in MH colours, or kept in the mytravel livery?

when i have been on it the load factors have always been quite good, and to remind you guys that AK flies KUL-TWU-KUL twice Daily...
any idea why MH management has done this?
btw.. heard this through my travel agent as a i need a TWU-KUL flight after oct 1st...

As long as they dont do anything remotely connected to the current male uniforms... then ill be happy with it... if they do something in that plad green colour... i might just cringe when i see it....

KUL can definately NOT wait till 2008 to attract more airlines into malaysia... we cannot afford to wait for them to come to us, we must MAKE them want to come to us, not wait for their every whim and desire.
im backing KLIA for success anyhow

I agree that MH should have a new Livery for the A380 fleet, or even better, perhaps paint each A380 individually? wouldnt that be great for us spotters? No need for each to be different, but different shades of colours etc would do just fine i believe.

Definately the triple seven, nothing beats it... now i only wish MH would get some 777-200LR or 777-300ER's... and maybe they should start naming their 777 fleet, maybe can call one MalaysianWings

hmm... any plans in the works for an A330 or a B734 in special livery?
i know that the whole point of the liveries is to highlight the new products, but they (management) could be up to something, no?
but ill be counting down the days till the aircraft is rolled out...
does anyone know whether they will be having another grand reception at Subang like they did for the roll-out of MPD? (also, just coincidence that both special liveries were the 4th registered aircraft?)

I completely agree with you..
That flaming is the precise reason why i feel Airliners.net has gone down the drain, there are too many guys out there with a convienient credit card in hand, and they buy one, just to start flaming each other, starting A v B wars, discrediting others, and god knows what else.. Every other thread over there seems to be just like a bunch of 5 year olds bickering about who has the best toy..

I think it would be interesting if we had some Russian Aircraft in our fleet.. Such as a Tupolev 224 or Ilyushin 96, or maybe even the Tupolev 144 (Supersonic flights from here to LAX
)but more reasonable,

I have written about this in AeroM before. Got the info from someone working with MAHB.Overall, there will be FOUR satelite terminals in total. And two Main Terminal Buildings (MTB). The one supposedly "under construction" is the 2nd satelite terminal.
Now, you'd ask where would the 3rd and 4th satelite will be built? According to this acquaintance, the 3rd and 4th will be located on the opposite side of the current MTB. If you coming on the highway into KLIA, with current MTB on your right, there will be a 2nd MTB on your left (currently there are parking lots and other not-so-important structures that can be demolished when the time comes)
wow... i knew of the second Sattelite Terminal as shown in Jouvarn's KLIA V2...(hmm.. interesting.... if someone could get Jouvarn to do a KLIA v3 but with the comeplete Future Development
) also, Where would the runways go? is there no Artistic views or Plans (images) around?

i wonder what their fleet reliability will be like. Since they only have one AC, what happens if theres a mechanical failure??

Try as they might. the difference is prices will not matter enough to alot of people when faces with the hassle of trying to get across the causeway, especially at peak times.

Seeing the unpegging has been in action for only a week, this isnt a bad thing, finally a step in the right direction for malaysia, and for malayisans. Albeight a small step.
next step - one of the following
- an order of 20 777-200LR/30 777-300ER (imran knows what i mean)
- make MAS the most sought out jobs (never have pilot shortages - future planning)
- buy out EK and SQ
- hire some of the M-Wings members as independant reviewers and inspectors

As we all know, KLIA is not completely built right now.
I think plans are for a similar Satellite terminal right now, another 2 runways??
Does anyone have anymore Info? maybe the MH insiders (Radzi, TK, etc etc)
any help to shed some light on this would be great!! (looking for things like Charts, Blueprints, Artist Impressions... Anything?)

well if they continue with the fleet restructuring, maybe along with these 738/739's we MH could get a few 747ADV 787 or 773ERs? wouldnt all that be a spotters dream at KLIA?
