Even with MH newly promoted 'Fine Dining Experience', i feel that dining on board has lost alot of its splendor and glamour that it used to have. Flying on business class used to mean that meals were served to you from a tray, not pre packaged as on my flight from KL - Auckland.. its all very dissapointing really, seeing my favourite airline in decline..

haha. .i know SV! my parents travelled on tuesday and got their Refurbed 747.. no fair! but what the heck.. how often do i get to go business anyways, not about to complain!
any clue what will be flying this saturday (03/02), as i will be flying back to KL on that day.. According to MH OFS, the entire week starting 30/01 till 05/02, is all operated by 744.. so is there a good chance ill be flying on teh upperdeck of a new 747? hahaha... there will be a trip report for that.. just got back from wellington today, ANZ733

i was just on MH131 from Kul-Akl on the 27th of Jan, i checked in 7 hours early for my flight, and i was travelling GCC aswell, i requested a window seat, but they could not give it to me as the plane was fully booked, mostly with connecting passengers from Europe, and from what i saw at the boarding gate, everything was packed for this flight...
I think MH should increase flights, but only if they are presently making money on this, if they are losing, then they should be cutting costs and not increasing frequencies..
MH Tickets are cheap if you know when to buy them, e.g. at the MATTA trade fairs, if you buy far enough ahead, the tickets are very decently priced.

hmmm... anyone remember hte original 777 project had folding winglets?? was so that it could fit into the 'box' (existing footprint of Md-11(issit?) at american airports, so that the wing tips could be folded up, so that hte plane could fit into the gate without the gate requiring extensive renovation)

Ill Believe that MH has ordered them when they have an official press release... i think Fleet Upgrading should be far far far down the list... cost restructuring right now is way more important that planning for this, but that does not mean it should be neglected..
MH and its Management need to get its Priorities straight, such as Keeping our Loyal Staff!! not losing them to EK etc...

Quick question, will Airbus Paint/Sticker? the Airplane in MH Partial Livery? they have given F-WWOW a partial qantas Livery, with just the A380 titles on the tail remaining, so will they give F-WWOW the White and Gray, with the red and blue cheatline when it visits KL??

Hmm.. it looks too much like KLIA from the outside to be honest... would be nice if they did some nice local designs for the airport instead of taking the KLIA design, albeit that being a nice design.. oh well.. im not complaining

Last I heard, MH officials were in Dubai recently having their final talks with Emirates and Virgin on forming the world's 4th major alliance called "We're-just-too-cool-to-be-in-any-other-alliance" With regards to the fleet renewal, any smart pundit would place they're bets on MH purchasing the 737NG's judging from the recent 738 leasing and MH's long history with the 737s...........I still personally favour the A32X though!
well... that alliance there wouldnt be that bad an idea!! as long as we get Virgin Blue to cover OZ/NZ, and then get some american airline to help out, it woudlnt be that bad
