it is because of that distance from the LCCT to the MTB that i find it hard to fly AK now...
i fly back from school in singapore for holidays, and to connect to tawau on AK used to be easy, from arrivals just go up two floors and check in again, but now much naik bus, and dunno what else you need to do... better fly MH la.... or stay in KL overnight

i read on Airliners.net that Air Atlanta Icelandic purchased those two B744Ms if im not mistaken..
Air Atlanta Icelandic has acquired two ex-Malaysian 747-400's.Both aircraft had been in storage recently, and had been registered N73714 ( c/n 745) and N73713 ( c/n 738).
N73714 will become TF-AMM
N73713 will become TF-AML

we'll be lucky to get a new seat with the A380 next year... doubt it somehow though... falling behind.. in an ever steepening circle into the red.

i believe i saw TVD/TVC without the tail logo outside hte MAS hangar in KLIA, i was on the TWU-KUL flight and i believe i saw those blended winglets outside the hangar, i could be wrong though. Also saw MPD/MPB in the hangar.
Also, a eurowhite 742 outside the MasKargo area, anyidea?
-

I went to see the new LCC Terminal last week. MAB had extended the inner road linikng MTB - Satelite Building (currently for authorized vehicles only) to the LCC. I just hope that this road is used to free shuttle passengers from MTB - Satelite - LCC. If they have to use the outer road (20 kms. long) to shuttle passengers then it is madness.
which our governement and management are sadly fully capable of implementing

If Air Asia is smart..They won't be flying to the same destinations that Mas fly's to to China..Go for places in China that are not served by Mas or not been doing well for mas..
so all of MAS's china routes la?
-
Hmmm... this is probably the first piece of good news concerning MAS for the past couple months. Finally this might bring things around. But what does this mean for MH, more codeshares on its flights to OZ/NZ, and easier transfers for passengers enroute to the US and europe.
But with MH in such a precarious position right now, im hoping this is the trigger that kickstarts MH rise into the black
-
This is the whole problem with MH isnt it? always lagging behind...
Example..
Lie Flat seats, came out with BA and SQ back in the 90s when MH were putting in the old F class seats (i think), and only now Mas is putting in the sleeper suites, and airlines like Emirates are coming up with even more revolutionary seats, and im sure SQ has something up their sleeve which we will see with the 773ER and 380. And now MH has refurbed half their fleet, and then talks of selling off 2/3s of the B747 fleet.. whats the point.. all seems a waste of time and money...
stupid management..
GO EK!! And AK Also!
-
No money, but wont returning the birds early mean fines for MH?
Mas management is driving the airline into the ground la... sad sad ending...
-
someone told me this once
It is a waste to bring people from tawau to have seafood, one, It burns a whole in your pocket, two, it is substandard to the stuff we get in tawau right SV?
4 tiger prawns to a KG.. abit crazy la.. .but wonderful to eat
-
done! hope it helps

Sources said MAS was looking to dispose of 12 or 13 B747-400, several B737-400, Fokkers and even some Twin-Otters. The final list would be drawn when MAS has finalised its network rationalisation and fleet requirement plan, which sources said might be completed by mid-year.“One thing for sure is the B747 would not fit into MAS’ new network plan. But MAS likes the B777 and A330 aircraft,’’ a source said.
PMB has thirty-five B737 and sixteen B747 planes. It also has 10 Fokkers and five Twin-Otters and is in negotiations to dispose of one Fokker. Talk of the B737 sale has been circulating for some time now but nothing has materialised.
i might be wrong, but doesnt MH have 17 B747-400, and 17 B777-200, plus the 2 B747-400F coming soon.
Is getting rid of the B747 that good an idea, especially with the A380 coming? I agree that the B777's are the way to go.. and they should probably invest in a few more in coming years, either that or with B787s or A350s.. that seems to be the way to go...
and if possible, later on maybe some B748 to supplement and replace the B747s in teh fleet with aircraft of similar size with better fuel economy.
my view anyways..
-
hmmm.. .looks like the Winglets wont have the MH logo on them.. those photos show bare winglets..
-
