Hmm. Asked my MH spy, and he said that it is possible, if the ticket as been preprinted before hand.
So HKT-KUL, then straight to the gate for the KUL-PEK flight. I mean, internet booking and tickets means you dont really need airline stock to be printed to get your boarding pass nowadays kan?

OT: Argh - just saw a picture shared on social media of supposedly a fleet of ships searching the sea for the wreckage.
But I know that is just the southenly approach into Changi. Should I make the comment of just leave it? the curse of an AVgeek.

Can we say MH370 shares three firsts? :
- Biggest SAR deployment (40 ships + 34 planes + more?)
- Largest number of countries involved
- Largest number of missing pax
I am watching the ACI episode of AF447 at the moment. If the trend is in sync, which could be useful for guidance:
- We need a submarine to locate the wreckage (which is happening as the Singaporean is deploying theirs).
- A very experience international search team (not related to military or any government) to lead the search mission (the wreckage of AF447 was found by the team that discovered the Titanic in 1985).
The first debris of AF447 was discovered 5 days after the crash and if that floating allerged window/door/raft is indeed from the doomed aircraft, timeline wise, I think our efforts are much faster than that of AF447.
Indeed it is. And yet many asking why is it so late?
Edit: OMG opportunist!
Scumbag.

Sorry I don't have access to TV3 from Singapore. Are there any clips I can watch somewhere?

here - TV3 finally doing a special day for MH370

Capt Nik is on MHI right now again.
Good to have a sound and experienced mind to talk to the media now.
-
Richard Quest flew in the jump seat with the F/O for his show.
-
NTSB, FAA, Boeing are definitely going to be around when this happens.
First incident involving a 777 in flight will bring out all of the questions.
I hope, REALLY HOPE, we will see liferafts deployed. With people in it.
-
There should be enough range for the 738 to go to PEK.
also, the captain is apparently a flight simmer - is he one of us?
-
Better this being a first impression to Malaysia rather than the cowsheds that TF wants to run.

Very shopping mall-like.
Definitely has a hip and happening shopping mall feel.

Wah....
KLIA2 feels so.....Changi-ish.
Also i presume Left gates will be Ps, and the Right ones will be Qs.
So you have to mind your Ps and Qs?
Also the biggest irony will be people NOT queuing up at the Q gates.

First the 747-400 was deemed inefficient and now it is the 777-200ER's time...
I wonder how folks like CX and CI managed to keep their 747-400, 777-200A, A340-300 going without nagging about fuel costs and cost of running.
By feeding more people through their hub.
Sadly KUL is not a big people hub.
-
Also, LIMA is very military-biased, so not many consumer announcements there.

Wonder if anybody from the aircraft div of MAS is going to the SIngapore air show.
It is going to showcase the a35o there right?

Hey guys, just a question for the weekend (and mods please move the thread if its in an inappropriate location).
Do i need to pay to post in A.net? I know I can get a free photographer account there, but to post in the discussion - its a monthly sub thing?
Thanks for your inputs.

Apparently a 787 from Air India had some bad software failure(s), and had to divert to KUL.

http://avherald.com/h?article=46f971be&opt=0
From the report - all three(???) Flight Management Computers failed.
Oh wow, that sound really bad. On another note, anyone heading to KUL to capture the flight? an Air India replacement should be on its way to pick up the passengers.
-
Yeah - your entire booking will be cancelled the moment you didn't show up for outgoing flight in SIN.
Same thing if you were a no show in KUL & wanted to use the return portion of your booking, the system will automatically cancel the booking.
But if i took the ex-SIN flight, but want to alight in KUL return - is that possible?
-
Have a question about ex-SIN itineraries.
Will i be penalised if i dont board the SIN-KUL portion of the ticket, likewise the KUL-SIN ones?
Not sure if this question has been asked before here.
Thanks

Malaysia Airlines nasi lemak: Then and now
'Several passengers have shared the fact this dish has been served by the country's national carrier but it didn't look like the photo uploaded on Chef Wan's Instagram. The website AirlineMeals.net allows passengers to upload photos of their airline meals to the website and some have uploaded photos of the nasi lemak dish from different years.'
Read more at: http://english.astroawani.com/news/show/malaysia-airlines-nasi-lemak-then-and-now-29349?cp
Anyone uploaded the domestic nasi lemak onto airlinemeals?

My only question is - Where is the rest of the tray?
Also presliced cucumber can get nasty real fast...

Nah, MH88 will remain as per normal.
TBH I think the route planners should keep MH92 as a second KUL-NRT flight. I think the demand is there.
More concerned about the timing.
While i like D7's prices and all to HND, their arrival timing is not the best.
Arrive at 22:30, ting tong ting tong immigration its 23:00, the last train from HND to Tokyo is at 23:15, then once you reach tokyo central its midnight, and everything closes.
Their 11pm departure is the best however.
-
MH88/89 is purely KUL-NRT right?
Its not a tack-on like MH 92?
Will the latter affect the former? hoping that the timing will not skew my plans for the end of the year...

Guys, with the new arrivals for MAS, how many of their planes are still in the order book?

ANA signs deal with the world’s largest halal-food provider for in-flight meals
In order to improve the quality and selection of halal food that All Nippon Airways (ANA) Catering Service Co. serve on their in-flight meals, ANA Holdings Inc. recently signed a deal with Malaysia’s Brahim Holdings Bhd., the world’s largest provider of halal meals for airlines. The program is designed to be an exchange of skills, expertise and best practices in preparing Japanese and halal cuisine.
So Brahim is expanding. Interesting news.

I think the searches are done to eliminate those locations rather than confirming them.
Plus, Malacca Straits is our water, so we can explore as extensive as we want.
I did a scary thing and went to GCMaps, and typed in 6000nm@KUL, just to see how far can MRO go.
God help the souls in MH370.
