    Malaysia Airlines during the month of February 2016 is temporary suspending scheduled Boeing 777-200ER operations on regular basis, as Kuala Lumpur – Guangzhou flights switching from Boeing 777 to Boeing 737-800 aircraft. In addition, the oneWorld member will operate 4 extra flights during Chinese New Year, also with Boeing 737.

  2. The 772ER was designed for the long range mission.

    The A333 can't fly the same distance.

     

    The 772ER did a fantastic job for MAS. Like all things, age catches up.

    Gets costly to keep this old bird flying.

    Just imagine trying to keep your 20 year Proton Saga running.

    New models are designed with better economics.

     

    Sad that MAS will reducing their presence internationally but i guess CM knows what he is doing.

    "The owner of the three Boeing 747 planes left unclaimed at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport has come forward to say that they have been in consistent contact with Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB), The Star reported. Captain Blue Peterson, chief executive of Swift Air Cargo reportedly said the three planes were owned by the company since June 8 this year. -
