Thanks Amer. Looks like you spent a few hours there .

Yes, the 2 planes are still in service with EVA.
How long does it take to reconfigure (assuming 311 seats is not enough for an LCC) and paint the aircraft?
I guess one way to get new info is to observe if and when EVA takes both planes off their schedules.

My apologies, having trouble attaching the pics in their normal size...
Is there a guide on how to upload pics?
Am sorry if this is a silly question.

Hopefully it is an expansion (which I doubt) and hopefully they only lease the LHR slots until MAB completes its recovery.

Airbus has announced a delay in deliveries for the A330neo from end 2017 to March 2018.
-
Airasia X could use these to start their London route.....albeit maybe engine non RR
-
A couple of interesting months ahead.
Yes, the A330-200 could be a natural choice, available, fleet similarity, range is there.
Personally, still hoping to see a B787 in Malaysian colours

9M-MPP deal fell through correct?
Aircraft is still in Indonesia?

Indonesia AirAsia X flies many routes via KUL.

He does mention about the shortage of equipment. Maybe we'll hear about some aircraft leases/purchases soon?
-
True, he has repeatedly mentioned 2017 many times as his forray back into Europe.
The A339s are slated for delivery in 2018.

Wow, Flee has the whole collection of -600s. Great shots!

Thanks for the pics at SZB. The lighting at SZB wasn't too great either today. Good show all the same!

They just arrived, in formation.

Oct 17th is not mentioned by @UKinMalaysia. Just the 14th Oct flypast.
Is the actual display on the 17th still on?
-
Red Arrows display? Possibily on Oct 16th .....anyone can confirm?
Oct 14 - KLCC
Oct 16 - KLIA
According to a website Allevents
I am a bit skeptical about the KLIA venue....

Boeing is looking at the 737 MAX10.
A plug insert will add 2 rows of seats enabling 189 seats in a 2 class layout.
Landing gear will be modified to enable clearence for the longer fusealage during take off.
They will continue with the LEAP-1B with, what they call a "thrust bump".
Still not a fair fight with the A321 but at least it gives an option to their existing customers who need a higher cap single aisle.
