  1. Hai Fashni..Welcome to MW forum :drinks: ..emm some good opinion here.. :)

     

    In my opinion..why should an airline add frequency if the current frequency never give some good load yield..why should the airline add their losing by operate daily flight basis if the aircraft fly with 10 passenger only..I can understand, less frequency serving on certain sector make the airline less popular to fly with them, but that is the only best option for airline keep operate for certain sector..Even Qantas plan to operate only 3 times weekly to EZE..

     

    If we still remember, why MH need to terminate Manchester route last 2 year..MAS need to achieve 140% load factor to break even..if MH can fly 100% passenger on that route,MH still need addition 40% passenger to cover the operation cost..

     

    Correct me if i wrong..


  2. Emm according to NST news report from Farnborough, MH agree to pay USD2.6 Billion (MYR 8.4 billion) for 35 B737-800NG..i just like to ask some question here..

    Pardon me if my question sound funny.. :pardon: :pardon:

    "The airlines has acquired purchase rights for an addition 20 aircraft, which it will only have to deice on from 2016 onwards."

    My question,what the quote really mean..it is MAS will get special price for next order on B737-800/900 in future??.. why some report say MAS buy 55

    plane..what the other 20 aircraft as option mean??

     

    2. Again quote from the report:

    "Chief financial officer Datuk Tengku Azmil Zahruddin said MAS will acquire the the plane directly, and will partially sell adn lease back from Penerbangan

    Malaysia Berhad."

    My question is,from my what i understand, if MAS will own all the 35 aircrafts, why MAS should sell it again??and what mean by "lease bacj from PMB"??

    Previously, i though MAS will buy some and some PMB will buy it and MAS will lease from PMB..

    Emm looks like all the post will go to Jabatan Penapisan (sorry i don't know what we call it in English, Censor Board may be :pardon: :pardon: ) first before it post for public view..no much different if we make complaint about MAS via newspaper..Sooo...it bore..

     

    i believe most of our MW members would like to express the disappointment on the in flight light snack box..until now it reach 330 post on the topic with 7,527 viewer..

     

    It mainly for the top MAS management use only to contact with thier staff..not for us.. :angry:

    But i still doubt if MAS will make any surprise announcement during the air show to purchase any wide body,officially at least.. But it still exciting news, if people somewhere around world speak about this rumors, mean that MAS still interest to buy it..but the only question is, when Datuk IJ will put his signature on the deal..huhuhu.. ;) ;)

     

    Because he just sign for B737NG..


  6. Pardon me, i just lost..please help me..MH will buy with wingtip or not for new B737-800??..i believe MH will not try any attempt to buy B737-900 due to current market, low passenger demand..

     

    So 1 long episode will end soon.. :p emm new episode waiting, wide body aircraft..??which MH will buy, 787 or new 747..Since MH will take the A380..B787 may be the best option..just wild guess :pardon: :pardon:


  7. Emm first of all..Congratulation to KLIA/KUL/WMKK at fourth place in overall best airport by passengers survey..

     

    My only wish also hope to KLIA (MAB mainly) to attract more foreign airline to operate here..it meaningless for KLIA to win even second position if they fail to bring major airlines operate here compare with SIN and BKK..so lets hope this coming October, i really happy to hear 2 or 3 BIG NAME airlines to operate here with CONFIRM status,not like Finnair case..I wish all the best to MAB team..Lets pray for good news soon..

Looooooong story for Datuk Seri IJ..Hard working man to ensure all back in profit for MAS..it not an easy task to turnaround company when the company face critical cash flow..what inspire me is,Datuk IJ sometimes can motivated MAS staff to work hard to achieve huge profit last financial year..first day Datuk IJ at MAS HQ office (at Jalan Sultan Ismail), most of the staff demotivated due to government and some politician pressure on MAS huge losses..Now they (the staff can :) again)

     

    But MAS cant stop here and satisfied with what they achieve today..i really hope MAS can emphasis, focus and improve their brand, mainly in flight services..Some people willing to pay more as long he/she satisfied with the service..so please improve your in flight meal,again please..

     

    Datuk IJ is icon for Malaysian business man..he really good on certain part especially on administration..i suggest MAS should start to work with marketing area from now on to achieve their second Business Turnaround Plan..our neighbour national carrier start to replace new aircraft (including Garuda,see post #11) and of course it comes with brand new seat configuration and etc..Not only MH = Malaysian Hospitality as main market campaign ea..

  9. Nice. I like it. But 'cacat' AK is my fav.

     

    But i still miss the LAT's cartoon livery on previous AK B737 (9M-AAP)..Now if not mistaken,the aircarft still with AirAsia name but under Thai AirAsia with Thai registration number.. :( :(

     

    I hope incoming brand new A320,AK and Dato TF will paint back to LAT livery..it nice to see and it really Malaysian proud to see Kampung Boy lifestyle..our heritage and trademark..

     

    If not..hope Datuk IJ will consider to put this scheme on new B737-800..hehehehehehe ;) ;)


  10. Strictly speaking, MH is already a virtual airline as its aircrafts belong to PMB. Like telco with virtual network, a airline with entirely codeshare network and strong marketing is a profitable business proposition. :good:

     

    MH has always unlike other airlines, unique that few people understand conventionally. :pardon: :sorry:

    YES..MH is unique business model..i try to understand it sometimes..i believe 3/4 of MAS existing a/c are lease from PMB (Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad)..and for new B737-800NG some of it MAS own while others PMB..

     

    Last two week ago i guess, PMB would like go their b737-400 to let thier fleet to others leasing company..mean MAS soon will continue lease from other company if this happen in future..
