  1. Supposedly, there were no more arrivals of a D7 A333 since yesterday was the last day that they sent an A333 here. Yet, they still send. Yay :drinks: If not mistaken, they will send their A333 until the end of this year or, until they have the sufficient amount of A320 pilots.

One of the reasons we love an a320 equiiped with sharklets is because of the blinking strobe lights!

    Extracted from HX webpage:

Commencing on 28 May 2016, Hong Kong Airlines, an internationally-acclaimed full-service airline, will be the only carrier providing direct twice-weekly flight service between Hong Kong and Kuching, Malaysia. The new service will be operated by an all-economy class Airbus A320 aircraft, further strengthen the airline’s network in Asia.

Kuching is Sarawak’s capital city, as well as one of the largest cities in the island of Borneo. Since Kuching sounds like the Malaysian word for cat, it is commonly translated as the “Cat City”. Cats can be found in every corner of the city, ranging from cat statues to Cat Museum, attracting cat lovers from around the world.

For travelers who like to dig deeper into the beauty a city, the unique history and culture, as well as nature and wildlife of Kuching will never disappoint you. In Bako Natural Park, you may immerse yourself in a tranquil wilderness walking along the forest trail, and learn more about the diverse habitat at Borneo. At Sarawak Cultural Village, you will get introduced to local culture and lifestyle by spending a day with aborigines there. Back to the city center, it’s time to enjoy the crossover of silence and cosmopolitan vibes at Kuching Waterfront.

Mr. Li Dianchun, Chief Commercial Officer of Hong Kong Airlines said, “We are delighted to launch our first direct service to Malaysia following the inaugural of Phnom Penh, Cambodia in February. With the end of rainy season, we believe Kuching will become another popular travel destination this year, and further strengthen our network in Asia. This will also offer passengers more diverse options for business and leisure travel.”

The flight schedule for Kuching route is as follows (*All Times Local):

    Flight no.*

  6. I had been spotting for the whole day. However, it is a great experience. :D

These are the shots that I took just now.

    7/6/2015

I spotted this heavy at the roadside that leads to the DCA's HQ.

    18561537485_f9b895807f_o.jpg

Then, these shots were taken at the cafe which is located on the upper floor of Kuching Sentral.

So far, it is a good spotting location where we can spot departures. Sometimes a plane may hold at intersection A due to traffic, so we can only expect its belly. Hopefully, the sun is not blocked by clouds.
