Commencing on 28 May 2016, Hong Kong Airlines, an internationally-acclaimed full-service airline, will be the only carrier providing direct twice-weekly flight service between Hong Kong and Kuching, Malaysia. This is the 2nd flight of today, which is AK8670. Unfortunately, the clouds were not on our side as they were blocking the sun.

I had been spotting for the whole day. However, it is a great experience.
These are the shots that I took just now.

I spotted this heavy at the roadside that leads to the DCA's HQ.
Then, these shots were taken at the cafe which is located on the upper floor of Kuching Sentral.
So far, it is a good spotting location where we can spot departures. Sometimes a plane may hold at intersection A due to traffic, so we can only expect its belly. Hopefully, the sun is not blocked by clouds.

Are the A330 & B777 charter flight? I thought MAS no longer bring in the bigger birds to Kuching?
As Zamir said, those flights were not really chartered flights.The school holidays was not only the factor which led to the upgrading of MH flight. The holidays was just one of the factors.

Supposedly, there were no more arrivals of a D7 A333 since yesterday was the last day that they sent an A333 here. Yet, they still send. Yay
If not mistaken, they will send their A333 until the end of this year or, until they have the sufficient amount of A320 pilots.
