    Problem is there is hardly any advertising or promo seen at both ends.

     

    Passengers can actually connect to Europe and East Asia on HX and likewise if passengers are looking for a trip to Mulu...they have the option of flying HX via HKG....Unfortunately there is nothing...no banners...no promo...no social media...to advertise HX...

    Or when there is no more space in the overhead locker. Like AirAsia...you pay for check in luggage on US airlines...1st bag usd25...2nd...usd35. If the ground staff thinks there isn't any space available anymore...they will offer to put your bag in the cargo for free...Had mine done so from Lexington KY to Atlanta then to Greenville SC...

    Noticed that when I went to select my seats for TPE-KUL for this Dec. Can't seem to select the upper deck or the nose, tho

     

    On a side note, does anyone know if CI gives out amenity kits on TPE-KUL? And how is the seat on the 744? Better than JL's 787 on LAX-KIX?

    I don't think so...to be safe you can find them on Facebook and drop them a line.

    Will be flying to Australia in August, looking forward for my own first hand experience of it.

     

    I just got back from KIX on the old J and it truly is a dated product.. at least it was a 6 hours day flight.

     

    I was on JAL's J from LA to KIX which was angled lie as well... for 12 hours, it was very uncomfortable... at least they had fantastic service and food to make up for it.. but still shameful to have angled lie on a 12 hours flight.

    I hope to get the new J seats on ICN...flying back in August.

     

    Do JAL hand out amenity kit? It is nice?

    unless they are offering extra legroom than the current one and ptv, there's no way im flying 12 hours with them

    Back then on the 340...it was 13hour long and I rented the handheld PTV...but battery lasted on 5 to 6 hours...torturous journey it was...😭

    Surprisingly, I found the long haul flight tolerable as I was able to sleep on the flight. I felt more bored on the 4 hour flight to HKG!

    6 hours on them with 2 empty seats is doable...I often book the Quiet Zone...able to stretch out and sleep...6 or 7 is just nice on D7's 330...
