  1. Hi Guys

I just want to enquiries if do spotting at 32R which is recomemded spotting area, As i know do spotting in 32R is easy but is full of fences blocking and meanwhile for 32L is more harder as well, but as I seen all the photos taken here is perfectly good and I just curious to know the spotting area and it will be much appreciated if some of the expert here able to share with me.

    Thank you.

  2. I wonder if MH370 is still operating tonight or have they changed to a different flight number, so as not to confuse the investigation as well as making the passenger discomfort?

Feel sorry to hear about the incident and I still hope there are survivors. Vietnamese news has reported the sighting of two large patch of oil spills on the sea to the South of Vietnam........

Yup, The MH370 still operating as usual by the most youngest B777-200ER 9M-MRQ in MH B777 Family.

  4. Dear Malaysianwings members

Today, I just got to spotted something unusual in flightradar24, That is one of the AirAsia A320 REG 9M-AHH it seem in trouble, Because This flight has been take off from RWY 14R about 30 minutes later and suddenly making a 360 degree turn and holding the altitude between FL32,000 and FT25,000 almost 2 hours around the Melacca strait area. Did everyone know what exactly happen for this flight?

  5. Thats not something special . One MH67 from Incheon and MH1 from London. Schedule flight. Nothing to be surprise about. <_<

Of cause I know is nothing special, But what i wondering is about the flight path of both aircraft.. it seem have to make huge turn before it can proceed their final approach.

  6. Dear all MW members

  7. It's OK; Sometimes I'm also having the same problem as well back then;but now i managed to know the differences between both of them.

UM only operates 2 B762ER (the other one is painted in new C/S) in their entire fleet; so they have to rely on it for long range flights to KUL,PEK & LGW.

Oic..But it seem Air Zimbabwe are not really popular, although their company has been established long time ago. Yes you are right they only got 2 wide body aircraft (B762ER) for serving long haul destinations. I think they should leased more newly aircraft and expands more destinations. Anyway thanks for sharing the info with me

  8. Currently runway 14 is in use due to the prevailing wind. For how long, nobody knows, but ATC prefer to use runway 32 whenever possible.

Runway 14 has been in use for the last few days, unfortunately the weather has not been good for photography.

Oic..No wonder so many aircraft flyby with low altitude at the klang valley and Cheras Area on this few days. Anyway thanks for your info. But another questions from me is Why most of the KLIA ATC are prefer to use 32 more than 14? what's different between 2 mode of selections.

763? It's B762ER actually Joseph;that's the only large aircraft that Air Zimbabwe operates.

Oops..sorry..miss identified with the model haha..Actually most of the time is very difficult for me to know whether is 762 or 763 because both of them are almost same, but only different with the length of fuselage and capacity. Anyway I more interest in B767 series Aircraft, Although they been very old aircraft. Thanks for correct my mistake :)

  9. This is really bad service on the part of MAHB. If the plane burst its tyre on departure from BKK, the pilot would have been able to notify the KUL authorities. While the flight is en route, preparations could have been made for its arrival. It would appear that KLIA was not at all prepared for this emergency.

I agree with your opinion, I also got no idea how the KLIA can entitled as World best airport of the year on past 2 years.

  10. Yesterday around 11.30PM or so Runway 32L/14R was closed up till about 3-4AM. Many aircrafts were delayed and were asked to hold at many different areas. Landing was on 14L and takeoff was from 32R A9 due to work still in progress at A10 & A11. Hon Kit alerted me when 14 was in use and watching the radar was simply mind boggling, 14L landing, 32R take off!

I heard it was a MH aircraft that skidded which resulted in a tyre burst? Anyone with any genuine info?

Here's a picture showing AK722 holding while waiting for 9M-MPP to take off via 32R.

    hold.jpg

No wonder,I also wondering why the KLIA suddenly changing the runway to 14L, but in the same time the 32R was using for take off. Usually they very seldom to use 14 except of wind directions change or something happening with the runway. Yes, yesterday the KUL airspace was terrible confusion all the arrival aircraft are keep holding 360 in the low altitude, pity with these AK flights

  11. Indonesia's Sriwijaya Air plans to sign a purchase agreement next week for 10 Boeing 737-800s, as it seeks to launch more international services.

The Jakarta-based carrier will ink the deal with Boeing in Seattle next week, and the aircraft will be delivered from 2015, says an airline spokeswoman.

"But we are in negotiations with Boeing to see if the deliveries can be brought forward to 2013 as we really need them to begin more flights," she adds.

Sriwijaya serves mostly domestic destinations and operates flights to Singapore and Malaysia's Penang island, and wants to expand its international network.

"We are looking at Australian cities, and will likely begin flights to Perth," says the spokeswoman. The carrier is also considering flying to Vietnam and Cambodia and Chinese cities like Hangzhou.

Sriwijaya has a fleet of 27 737s, but the upcoming deal with add its first 737-800, It is also looking to add 60 smaller aircraft to its fleet for domestic operations.

"We are in discussions with Embraer and ATR and other manufacturers, and we hope to get these aircraft at the same time as the 737s," says the spokeswoman.

  12. CARACAS, Venezuela – A plane carrying 51 people crashed Monday in eastern Venezuela, and officials said at least 21 people survived.

The French-built ATR-42 from the state airline Conviasa crashed about 6 miles (10 kilometers) from the eastern city of Puerto Ordaz at about 10 a.m. (1430 GMT), Transportation Minister Francisco Garces told state television. He said the plane went down on the property of the state-run Sidor steel foundry.

Rescue workers were tending to injured victims, and at least 23 survivors were taken to hospitals, Bolivar state Gov. Francisco Rangel Gomez told the Venezuela-based television network Telesur.

Two of the injured died, while 21 others were being treated, hospital official Yanitza Rodriguez said.

The plane, a twin-engine turboprop, was carrying 47 passengers and four crew members, Rangel Gomez said.

He said that Conviasa Flight 2350 had taken off from Margarita Island and crashed shortly before reaching its destination, the airport of Puerto Ordaz. Garces had initially said the plane went down shortly after takeoff.

It was unclear what caused the crash.

The state airline, Consorcio Venezolano de Industrias Aeronauticas y Servicios Aeros SA, began operations in 2004. It says it serves destinations in Venezuela, the Caribbean, Argentina, Iran and Syria.
