    Disagreed!!! Foreign Licences are RECOGNISED by DCA if you have DCA's approval to have training done in overseas. The rationale behind DCA's stand is to ascertain standard in training. Having said that, aviation industry is very protective. Just trying to protect the locals in getting the job. Myself got CASA, NZ and DCA licences. I did my training in down under and from my experience, exposure there is much greater than in Malaysia. Thats my opinion...

    Foreign License NOT RECOGNIZE. You'll have to do a conversion once you come back. Those days conversion cost aroun 50K, now should be close to 90K. Good luck!

     

    Thats mean all overal cost will higher?

    But,from I heard,Australia is approve by DCA..

    Hey guys!

    I want to know about the flying academy in Malaysia and Australia as well.

    As I know,GGIFA is the cheapest among all Malaysia's flying academy.

    GGIFA,overall cost is around RM199k meanwhile APFT,MFA,HMA,overall cost is around +- RM230k.

    I heard about Australia's flying academy but I have no info about this.

    My questions are :

     

    1. Between Malaysia and Australia Academy,which one is the lowest fees ?

     

    2. Australia academy get the DCA approval or not ?

    There are slight difference between MAS and AK.

    AK's don't really sponsor their cadet, instead they help us to find bank loan only. After that, we pay entirely to the bank, not AK. While for MAS's cadets, I think it's 100% sponsored by MAS, bond for 15 years and only start paying back to the company by monthly deduction from their salary when start working.

    Both Cadet sponsorship is just like loan for MH and AK

    We neede to be bonded with the airline for certailn of year , and they will deduct our salary .

    For AK, we will need to pay RM35k upon entering the flying school, and if not mistaken, we are taking the loan from bank, not ak. AK just arrange the loan from bank for us.

     

    Correct me if i am wrong.

     

    Oh.

    They just help us to get the loan right?

    So,thats mean,after we grad,we are directly be a AK pilot?

    On Etihad cadet training program will held in Al-Ain (check Google earth)..

    for me...there no problem..still can communicate in english..

    food..i guess no problem...sure halal..

    bonus...no evening thunderstorm :) or monsoon season problem(APFT)

    also..they use aircraft type :DA42 i guess..

     

    rite now.."I need to find my pen to Fill up the form"

    but "still couldn't find the pen yet..." :closedeyes:

     

    What type of requirement will they use?

    SPM?STPM?Diploma?

    KOTA BHARU: Masalah teknikal dihadapi sebuah jentera bomba ketika melakukan pemeriksaan landasan di Lapangan Terbang Sultan Ismail Petra (LTSIP), Pengkalan Chepa, di sini, menyebabkan operasi penerbangan di lapangan terbang itu tergendala selama sejam.

     

    Difahamkan, pihak pengurusan terpaksa mengalihkan jentera terbabit supaya operasi dapat diteruskan selepas terkandas di hujung landasan.

     

    Akibat kejadian itu, penerbangan awal pagi ke Kota Bharu membabitkan pesawat Firefly dari Lapangan Terbang Subang dan pesawat AirAsia dari Terminal Penerbangan Tambang Murah (LCCT) terpaksa ditunda dan berpatah balik.

     

    Pengurus Besar Kanan (Operasi), Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), Datuk Azmi Murad, berkata kejadian berlaku jam 6.10 pagi ketika sebuah jentera bomba lapangan terbang itu sedang membuat ujian biasa di landasan terbabit.

     

     

    TRANSLATION :

     

    At 6.10am,fire trucks did their routines to check the runaway but the technical errors made them stuck at the edge of the runaway. All the airport operations shut down approximately 1 hour.Airport management said,2 flights from SZB-KBR ( fireflyz ) and AirAsia ( KUL-KBR ) has been cancelled.

    Emmm Yes I,,i can confirm that MARA offer loan for student who want to enroll to flying school..my friend's cousin get MARA loan around MYR220k and now he at Melaka for PPL..But i not really sure which part of loan he apply..I'll try ask my friend later about this..

    Thank u everyone for the wishes! Its going to be tough in the next few months. I'm going to have to unlearn the boeing and relearn the airbus way of flying. Just like how I unlearn Windows and relearn MAC, hehehe...
